I've always played on ASBA, vintage gear to sound great for blues-rock, jazz and free.
Tom of the 16 sounds great with white skins remo. The sound is very Bonhamien. Ludwig I played on the sound ASBA is more "jazzy", more harmonics.
There are lots of tom bass that sounds round and deep, but they lack character.
ASBA price starts to fly away, fly off the gear ASBA United States.
