Basically the same amp as the combo head but just in a combo version. You get the same great features ans reverb but with the added 1x12 speaker.

One of the best amplifiers ever to have been created. Reinhold is a genius when it come to getting amplifiers to give you that immediate sound gratification. His amps just sounds so good when you get these some juice and gain and will keep you playing for hours. The Shiva head is probably Bogner's closest voiced amp to a classic Marshall tone. Most of his amp have a distinct Bogner tone and very familiar British flavor to them but most of them have their own characteristics to them.

SOUNDS

This amp has an exceptional clean channel. The cleans are very robust and chimey. The cleans alone are enough to buy this amp. But the best part about the amp is the distortion grind.

The distortion is very thick and huge sounding. It has a nice thump in the low end and a sweet midrange that will fit in most if not all music. Maybe not death metal or anything but this amp can cover a lot of ground.

OVERALL OPINION

The Bogner Shivas are a great rock amp and a nice introduction to the higher gain custom amps from Bogner. At new these amps come in at around $2600. These are a bit high in price for a lot of people and understandable, but if you ever get a chance to plug into one of these amps you'll immediately know something you have been playing is missing.

Amp 60watts any lamp with 6L6 and EL34 in 80Watt.
Although the amp has an input device ... send a pedal, send rack return.
I have the 6L6, so I could not express my opinion on the EL34.
This amp is tubed with Svetlana 6L6 and 12AX7 Poweramp to the preamp. It is a combo containing closeback celestion classic lead 80.

It has 2 independent channels, a clean channel and overdrive channel.
The clean channel has:
Volume
Treble
Bass
Bright Switch (only on certain models of Shiva)
Adjustable reverb in the back of the amp
This channel can be boosted by the footswitch, the sound volume booster is controllable by the same volume button and it can be annoying (see use)
the reverb can also be assigned by the same footswitch.


The overdrive channel has:

To channel, when the active boost, you can adjust the sound volume booster and the initial sound independently.
Independent reverb channel has 1 adjustable rear too.

The amp is left in a suspension which is intended to reduce the intrusion of vibration in the lamps, and it is the same for the reverb. He finds himself in a sort of leatherette satchel in the back of the amp, as if he would be independent of the amp, therefore, less vibration of the amp in the spring reverb. Thus, the electronic circuit inside is "an unprecedented clean amp for this type of PCB, it may not be" Point-To-Point "but is fine nonetheless. C 'is a very heavy amp, and very big for a 1X12, but fortunately, its weight means it is small but it sounds great!

UTILIZATION

This is an ultra simple, one branch, its already sounding a ton! After adjusting the gain, EQ and volume. With effect kit, rack or pedal, the amp is still all pretty good. I try a TC Electronic G-Major with the effects and out much less dirty than many other amps. On channel 1, it can boost the sound by using a footswitch, however, can not adjust the volume and the difference between its initial and its booster is still quite high. So if you want to boost a party with a solo clean to have a louder sound, it is almost impossible because the volume is too loud because we heard you (include a former Alternative: Clean Boost). I think the builder wanted it to serve as a further boost of color clean. The manual is super effective because it explains all the positions of the lamps, what roles have each lamp etc.. In addition, he said what the manufacturer prefers to light in the amp.

SOUNDS

I do not really have style in which I can find myself, I need to play everything, because I like diversity, but if I had to choose, I think I'm in the corner jazz-rock Funk (at least we esssaie!) This amp can do many things, depending on what guitar have him give. Personally, it has been my dilemma Les Paul vs Stratocaster so I could hear the 2. With Lespaul, there are plenty of possibilities. It is possible to have the BIG sound of rock and even metal if the limit of the gain and the boost is activated and the maximum. With the gain was 12, and clap the knob of the guitar, small blues rock colors are easily attainable. Whereas with a Start, the clean channel is a true audio delight. Sound hot, super clean, easy to handle, do that adjusting the tone pot at will to get the desired brightness. With distortion, even for a Start with vintage style pickups, the amp has a good drive to give a good rock sound while retaining the beautiful "Twang" simple microphones. "Personally, I must say that my settings are very often "flat" at the EQ, gain 3 with Start, and 11:00, 12:00 and Les Paul with all the brights switch off. In short, a good versatile amp

OVERALL OPINION

I use this amp for 6 months now and it has since my master piece of my sound. I tried several amps before this one, an orange Rocker30, a Mesa Lonestar Special, Fender Blues Junior Hot Rod Deluxe, Hot Rod Deville, Fender Supersonic. Initially, I hesitated between the Bogner and Mesa Lonestar since I had 2 offers equivalent, it only remains for me to try and determine which is best defended with my guitar. The Lonestar me much more but it's nothing next to Shiva. The two are very versatile, after only a matter of taste.

The pros:
- The clear sound
- The popping sound
- Power
- The speaker Celestone Classic Lead 80
- The Circuit very well done (Go see the pictures you will understand, no question of having cables going everywhere!)
- The equipment manufacturing (which makes the amp a real sounding)

The -:
- The weight (though probably very important)
- Boost the Clean channel unusable in my case

For the price I got it, $ 1450 CDN I think the price is excellent value as for an amp of this quality is worth $ 2,500 in the U.S., it seems to have had a VERY GOOD price: P!! !

Did not have that price, I would probably opt for Lonestar, lack of money! But I must say it is difficult to compare because it is not at all in the same range of amplifiers. If this would have to repeat the same price, I would do 1000 times this choice: P
