My guitar: a Pacifica 412
The sound can be cristalin, medium or bold blues and jazzy ... according to the subtle adjustment of the EQ. I prefer the pure, round and warm although the clean and slightly crunch putting the gain ... There is plenty of opportunity to find his SON.

OVERALL OPINION

Used for past two years, the sound is nice but the grain is not super vintage (at the same time it is not its purpose), it is well equipped and can cast a wide range of sounds.

UTILIZATION

The configuration is very simple once you understood that equalization is active ... Ie it attenuates frequencies if it is below half and increases when it is over. It is also very nice in some registries.
I have not had a manual since I bought it used. But I do not think it is really necessary.
Personally, I immediately found the sound I wanted.

SOUNDS

The sounds are actually quite rich and varied. I find that these are generally very low on the amp, which forces me to correct by increasing the treble for very little bass.
I really plays everything on this amp, it goes from jazz to metal funk and blues ... The amp respects the personality of the guitar and you can have sounds and slamming cleans very bright (on my strat) as defined in very incisive and saturated (lag arkane).
The gain is significant and can have a sound "overdrive" the tube screamer when placed at noon or larger distortion very typical Hi Gain when put in background.

I just put a little damper on the speaker ... amp deserved a 12 "rather than 8" but it would have changed its format is very handy.

OVERALL OPINION

I use this amp for over two years and am fully satisfied. Before buying used I could try other model like the blackheart BH5 and vox Night-train. The blackheart was not versatile enough and vox too expensive for what it was.
I judge the quality / price excellent (especially OCCAZ) and I would do this choice without hesitation.
If you come across a good occaz, you need an amp room or apartment efficient, it's time to go!

This is an amp goes everywhere.
It's a fairly round. The distortion of the 2nd channel sounds quite modern and is grainy trs. The sound is good as well trs clear that its overdrive.

OVERALL OPINION

I did that for one day ... but I intend to keep it!

The Ibanez Valbee is, it must be borne in mind, an entry-level model at a price defying any concurrency in the premier class of tube amps.
The blue cube just under 8kg (if I remember correctly) issue a "power" of 5W, with two lamps. Yes it's little, but enough so sometimes, to play in his apartment but with good sound.
Also, the settings are reduced to a minimum logical: Gain, Bass, Mid, Treble, Presence, Vol. Two channels are available (Clean / Boost).
Note the presence of an input for the jack (not surprisingly?), Output (headphone / recorder), and a surprising entry level amp, dedicated to the effects of two doses (internal output effect , input for external effect).
Not very original idea but nice, the amp has a switch to switch to "mute", useful when you need a little quiet for a while (for example, when our wives ask us to play weaker: p).
I put 8 / 10 for features, two points being deducted for low power settings to the "bare minimum". But for that price, can we ask for more?

UTILIZATION

Use side is worthy of Playskool.
We put the switch "Power", a button to switch the channel to boost clean, very short instinctive. Beware of the trap, however, do not confuse the switch "mute" switch with "power", lol that just happened to someone I know.
Getting a good sound was relatively easy for me, both in clean, in full, were a few adjustments.

I like many styles of music, the SRV Blues, Hard Rock at Randy Rhoads, Blues-Rock ZZ Top, Power Rock AC / DC, with this amp it's going very well, the sound is round / warm clean, heavy and "muddy" (in a good way) in clean, without distorting the sound. Saturated by the cons is available at low volume and that's quite a comfort nonetheless. Convenient not to disturb anyone and work alone.

I put 6 of 10 because the valbee nevertheless has certain sound qualities. But strangely other things bother me a bit.

OVERALL OPINION

What I like most about the valbee are its characteristics. That is a small high gain amp 5 watt lamps, practice to practice at home.

What I like least is the quality of workmanship. It's low-end amount. I do not speak bad of the model I had in the first, it happens.

The blue coating is rather crudely put, the whole is rather crudely assembled. It's true that at that price, it does expect the high finish. But other cheap amps are much better made.

Another thing that disturbed me greatly: the power tube that was it. The interior of the base was rusted and it did more good inside. Since I had two labeled 6L6 mesa side, so I replaced. I do not see how a lamp can happen in this state if only the base at the factory no quality control is done. It was a rotten lamp, no matter you put it anyway.

It is not very serious.

I also plan to change the lamp preamp. To see if I can just improve the sound.

The look, him, we like it or not. I personally think it's a nice design, but for an amp it's a little toy. I prefer a stylish vintage look good but must admit that the original remains valbee like that.

Trs good ide from ibanez to have put on a valbee stand by, and the effects loop which for this price range is good quality trs.

UTILIZATION

Setup is extremely simple, just plug the expected heating lamp and go. As for having a good sound I'm sharp enough you really working on the amp, so I do not think this amp is versatile. The manual is pretty amber but I did not need to dwell.

SOUNDS

The sounds are clear trs good I Ibanez RG2620 test with a typical big sound. Clear sound convincing, really brilliant trs trs enjoyable.
In terms of distortion against it by another case, ds at that one starts the boost you lose volume and power and the sound is rather bad nassillard Dfine.

So I do the test then plugging in my GT8 mthode of four cables, amp and ragi trs well with pedals diffrent saturation proposed by the WG8 (notably the MT2) The qualisation active and more enjoyable with the use of a distortion. Sounds clear gains in depth because they can be enrichier with the effects (such as a simple rverb, which is not on the original valbee)

So I put no effect processor 5 and 9 if we glue a GT8 or other multi effect in the same price range and performance.

OVERALL OPINION

Pretty happy sounds clear, and distortion instead of by the base I quickly rjouis by pasting my GT8. Change of Hp (ibanez of lower quality) and lamp (China) are possible to optimize the sound of the beast. so if you clear your freak of a close to those of the mesa Recto (Metallica and Dream Theater, even if the mesa Mark IV) should sound for you, but if you want to have a big sound on the lead channel do not think about buying a PDAL of distortion or overdrive is totally indispensable.
