- I have changed the 6 lights DD series for USA, I gained heat and definition, its clear now worthy of the best Fender 2000 euros.

Lamps with USA DD I put 10 as the clean sound is really great!

SOUNDS

I play old stuff like Hendrix or the Stooges and more modern things like pixies, sonic youth, satriani.
The clean channel with lamps JJ became rich and full, perfect for blues especially connected with a Big Muff which makes her a little dirty! There is a bright button that toggles a fat to a more crystalline. The clean sound is worthy of a kind 2000 euros amp Fender Twin or Rivera ...
The overdrive channel is sharp enough dry, ideal for play or ACDC Rolling Stone, it is very clear and defined, so you can plug in the pedals without losing definition.
Sound severe Ultra Gain hard! Ideal for playing rock solos or Van Halen, or the Steve Morse had this amp in his set! With a vox wha sound becomes very vintage, we can play solo or Hendrixiens Stooges, more vintage.

OVERALL OPINION

This is a 2 amp face, a clear or very bluesy with crystal button Bright and saturation very clear and precise rock. Simply plug a big muff for a fat for the blues to Steve Ray Vaughan. In short, a very complete tool that will put in his pro set.

Professional for over 20 years , covering everything from blues to country to rock .
Have used this amp for as many genres as you can shake a stick at , and it has always come through with flying colours .

Bought sometime during the 90's for about £550 from Dawsons . At the time , it was a similar price to most high end Fenders and Marshalls , but it sounded so much better in the testing booths , and when it was cranked up on stage , it really had a lot of charachter .

Big sounding amp , capable of playing any style , and independant of effects pedals .Nice cleans , smooth overdrive .
The clean is a very nice sound , and has a clean boost switch / bright switch which can be useful . The 2 dirty channels are crunch and Ultra , and these can be combined for rythm playing , and lead , in either channel . Very nice pleasing distortion when cranked .
This amp is also a monster when cranked , but can hold a tone at low volumes too , which makes it ideal for smaller gigs and practise .

It is quite heavy for a single speaker combo , but rugged .
In over 15 years , it has only had 1 fault with a wire , which was easily rectified .
Would prefer it to be point to point hand wired with gold , but I guess thats asking a bit much

Construction excellent as always by Peavey .
No issues whatsoever , and the black tolex still looks like new .

This amp should be a future classic , and can be picked up quite cheaply second hand . One of the best amps i've had .

I ran across this amp at a music store played it and loved it. I payed $300 for it.

This amp was amp of the year in 91 and now i know why. This unit is almost perfect. It is an all tube 60-watt amp. This amp is so loud and has such a great tone it will knock you socks off. I turned this amp up to three on the master volume and WOW! This amp also lets you use it as a head you can attach it to cabnets. It has to overdrive and a clean. It comes with a footswitch. I have Scorpion speakers in mine and i haven't heard a better amp yet.

It only has one EQ.

This amp is built excellent. I've had it only a few weeks but it has stood up to my abuse and i give it alot of abuse.

If your looking for a great amp you need to check out the Peavey Triumph 60. This is the best amp i have ever played and i've been playing for years.

it takes time to find his sound, but it was full of possibilities, with time you can do anything with that sounded ampli.il is very educational as amp. after using an amp like the, I think I have explored several types of sound and I find my own sound.

I made the metal, but my sound requirements are focused primarily on the rock without much gain. as I said above, this amp can do everything, all with a character that is dear to Peavey. the differing channels is one thing in common. they all have heat.
The clean channel can be round, banging and then lens is the choice of your ears. the crunch and a midrange, and the ultra is rather extreme because if we do not gaff with the voicing, or get it on his extremely acute one, or else very low. I took time to tame, but in the end I understood all the subtleties of voicing and I made my own sound.

the reverb itself is not bad but not great. it does its job.

OVERALL OPINION

At the time was worth more than this amp 5000francs (900euro).
this amp makes perfect in a log scale rock / metal. it can go a vintage sound has a very modern sound.

its versatility is its strength,
its versatility is its weak point.

and yes, when you're versatile, you can play everything, but without much character, even if the amp peavey grain, he can always imitate the style MESA, but there will be no grain MESA BOOGIE.
