Soprano made in Germany by hand.
Top, back and sides sapele (mahogany false) solid one piece maple neck, mechanical friction (basic), maple fingerboard and frets bridge (*) as hazel seems to me there (but I'm not certain at 100%)
12 frets
Ovoid handle a little thicker than the competition (mainly Asian in this price range)
Polished finish to the piece, no varnish:-o Another curious about this chip: no rosette but a plastic mesh embedded within the canopy to avoid cracks on the table.
The build quality is absolutely perfect, not even any glue drippings inside the box, perfectly cut freight - is a very good job!
(*) Note that the saddle-bridge is non-existent on this brand is the relief of the bridge itself, which takes the place of nut.

UTILIZATION

The handle, though a bit thicker than its competitors is not a problem, but can confuse ... especially as the maple is not common on this type of instrument. But the time to take the matter well in hand (5-6 minutes) we made it very easily.
The weight is like ultra-light and perfect ergonomics (the mechanical friction have at least that good on a soprano them to alleviate the head)!
The access to the acute model soprano who cares since the past 6-7th fret is unplayable for a normal man ...
The action is high, too high ... it is convenient to play fingerpicking but to chain agreements is rapidly annoying - especially since there is no nut to grind and to tackle the bridge can be risky.
From the moment you rub the strings properly, so you get a correct sound.

SOUNDS

At the outset we see that the ukulele has a modest projection ... for all the mass we would expect more volume, but this is not the case.
We change the horrible string of origin (the "pyramids") for Aquila or Worth and is already better, but not very powerful.
The sound is very bright (major fault of sapele) and lacks a little sustain. One is tempted to play more aggressively, but the sound becomes "rough" ... and then we remember that the device costs only € 100 but it sounds better than when Martin S-0 (3 times more expensive), then it crashes ...

OVERALL OPINION

It is a re-buy in my case, I already had this little ukulele in a year and a half and then resold ... and finally for the summer, just to have an instrument that I do not mind lugging around, I bought a new one again in June.
Before the purchase, the last 3 years I had the opportunity to try many other models ... obviously found a lot better if we put more Pepeta, but if you put at least I have not found!
The +: super build quality, it's solid stuff
The -: a room without the bridge saddle, the small projection
The quality / price is very good for a beginner or an enthusiast looking for a second ukulele. For more, unfortunately there are no secrets ... more pepette ;-)
With experience I think I would do the same choice: Some models from Kala sound better for a few dollars more, but seem less beefy and more sensitive to lug around.
For a hundred dollars this Brüko stands quite, not a toy but an instrument completely reliable, I like it!
