«  A very good 6-string tenor uke. »

Published on 09/11/13 at 13:45
It is a 6-string tenor ukulele. g - GS - E-aA, with two strings doubled at the octave, it plays like a normal 4-string ukulele, except that there is more harmonic richness in the agreements.
For those who have large fingers like me, Tenor size will suit you better than the Soprano format.
Manufactured in China. Good to less than $ 1,000 are not found ukulele made in Hawaii.
It is equipped with a generic UK-2000 preamp (there are exactly the same on my uke Stagg electro-acoustic US80-SE)
It is more beautiful, the wood used for the body is the mango it seems ... Besides, it's mine in the picture, I do not know how this picture landed on the site? ...

UTILIZATION

It is very light, more suitable for my big paws a soprano ...
That said, if you want to buy a ukulele, always try before you type is best. From the smallest to the largest, it is the soprano, concert and tenor are accorded exactly the same way ... There are also 4-string tenors, the 6-string is a harmonic, much like what the 12-string guitar over a 6 string. Israel Kamakawiwoole with 343Kg played well (and very well) on a soprano, first try!

SOUNDS

Very nice well rounded acoustic. I must say that entry level tenor sound better than entry-level soprano, because the resonance and pitch are greater.
Electro it sounds not bad too, but I do not often branch.

OVERALL OPINION

Bought at Honolulu for $ 279 in a shop next to Waikiki Beach (Ukulele Puapua Moana). If one day you will make a tower over there, ukulele lessons are free every day to 16 hours! Ah the Americans, it is the kings of the business strategy! The Uke is selling like hot cakes over there!
It is a beautiful instrument with a beautiful sound that goes anywhere you travel!
