« I was a little scared but ... »
Published on 06/05/14 at 23:51I was looking for an interface to the live recording. I read a lot of reviews, some positive and some negative ... But totally a promo less than 200 Eu for 8 channels ... I still tried.
I have a de11/2009 MacBook Core 2 Duo 2.53 Ghz - 4 GB DDR3. No driver needed, that's something: just once the housing connected via USB, go to Applications / Utilities / Audio Midi Setup in the left part of the window to create an aggregate device by pressing + ( bottom left) and click on the 8 USB Audio CODEC. We see the way it is actually 2-way 4 interfaces in one box.
In use (Garage Band), no latency, good sound, 48v phantom power and input combo jack (6.35 and / or XLR) on each channel ...
UTILIZATION
No driver needed for Mac OS, no latency with 4 simultaneous tracks, beyond I have not tried
GETTING STARTED
As stated above no problem, you just guess how to enable the interface, there really is no explanation in the record;
OVERALL OPINION
Excellent Q / P, I would do if I had to do. The only negative so far in (3 weeks of use): I think the knobs are a little small, every millimeter is 3 or 4 db difference.
