Best value: Excellent
I chose the USB interface for its price, brand TAPCO (Mackie derived from ...) and good quality preamp for this price range.
I use it for two weeks for the home studio. I record with my band models.
My config ': HP dual core laptop running XP sp2, 2GB RAM, 100 GB HD in 7200
I use it with guitars, basses, Forsythe and microphones (SM58)

UTILIZATION

Installation is extremely simple: you install the pack 2/drivers Tracktion, you plug the USB boiboite, then sounded the "base" of recognition and it works ...

My config is quite sufficient!
The manual is a bit cheap, it said, it is enough.

GETTING STARTED

I had no problem with drivers until now. To the ear, with a guitar and a microphone plugged into a distortion and a compressor VST, the latency is imperceptible.
The software provided, Traktion 2 is really excellent. It is perfectly ergonomic puissant.De but is more graphical interface is very well designed.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 2 weeks. What I like is the simplicity of implementation, the real portablilité the bundle, and its really ok for the price.
value: excellent
I also tried a TASCAM and EDIROL the same price. The tascam is pathetic, it's a toy, and is similar to the Edirol Link.USB, but it comes without the software of course!
