I have used various mics but none compare with the multi-use capabilities of The Blue Yeti Pro.
The first microphone that captures 24-bit/192kHz digital recordings on your desktop, and connects to professional recording equipment in the studio. Featuring three custom condenser capsules and four different pattern settings, Yeti Pro delivers detailed audio that’s more than four times higher resolution than a CD—during any recording scenario.
It can be used for any type of music recording, vocals or instrumentals, podcasts or voiceovers.CARDIOID

STEREO
Captures a rich stereo field for acoustic guitar, piano, percussion, or singer/songwriter duo, or multiple instruments at the same time.
Omni-directional
A great all-around mic pattern—literally. For when you need to record 360 degrees around the mic. Great for capturing vocal groups, bands or multiple participants in a single-mic podcast.
Bi-directional
The only mic pattern that always has your back… and your front. By recording sound from two distinct positions—the front and back of the capsule—this pattern is perfect for vocal duets or interviews.
BEST of All, You can control all of these settings simply from turning a dial on the mic. On the mic Headphone connection and volume control with ZERO Latency.
If there is a downside, I would say that it is extremely sensitive so be careful of the settings you choose, microphone placement and distance from the mic while singing or speaking.See less00
