8Dio is about to launch a new sound library for Kontakt fully dedicated to a Yamaha C7 acoustic grand piano.

Called 1990 Studio Grand Piano, this new library for Kontakt will feature more than 48,000 samples of a Yamaha C7 grand piano recorded with high-end gear (a Neve console and two famous reverb) at 96 kHz.

8Dio captured sustains with up and down pedal positions, staccato and staccatissimo notes with multiple round robins and you can choose and mix the different microphones, the team used Neumanm U87 and KM 184, Coles, Neve SE Ribbon and AKH C414 models.

1990 Studio Grand Piano will soon be available at 8dio.com, here’s the introduction video:
