Prosoniq caused a sensation this week with the updated NeuronVS software version of the Neuron hardware synthesizer created by Axel Hartmann and Stephan Bernsee in 2000. Though the Hartmann company has been closed since 2004, Bernsee decided to update the plug-in code and offers it now for free as a VST for Mac OS X 10.6.8 and later. He also recommends using the Nuke controller to make the best use of the synth but it will perfectly work without.
NeuronVS is available at www.neuronsynth.com.
For Windows, Mildon Studios announce that its Hue-X EQ and M4GIQ 4-band multieffect plug-ins are now available for free and bundled.
Hue-X is a 10-band equalizer where frequencies have been replaced by sonic characteristics (clarity, brilliance, boom, warmth…) which will be more evocative to newbies and those who like to work with their ear. Two Mix and Gain controls are also included.
M4GIQ features gain, pan and delay controls for each of the 4 available frequency bands. It allows for changing the stereo image and Mildon Studios included a gain control as well as high and low-pass filters.
The bundle can be downloaded from mildonstudios.com.
We wish you all a great weekend!
