Toontrack has released Post-Rock, a new EZX expansion recorded at Sundlaugin Studios (Reykjavik, Iceland).
Compatible with EZDrummer 2 and Superior Drummer 2, the Post-Rock EZX is composed of four drums kits. If the Rogers, Tama and Yamaha kits were classically played using sticks, the Sakae one was recorded with not only sticks but also brushes and mallets. The kits were played by Arnar Gíslason and engineered by Bigir Jón Birgisson in a studio that used to be a bathhouse before being reconverted as part of the band Sigur Rós’s high-end studio complex. The result is a pack which sound is described by its creators as “dramatic”, “a force of nature”, “unpredictable and almost cinematic”.
As usual, a collection of mix-ready presets (11) and a selection of MIDI drum grooves are included.
MSRP is 69€, available from www.toontrack.com.
