Toontrack's Metal Month new releases unveil, progressively... With SDX and EZX Progressive expansions and an assorted MIDI bank.

The Progressive Foundry SDX includes five complete kits, a total of 17 snare drums, 31 cymbals and five hi-hats – all captured on 26 separate channels and spanning a staggering 63 gigabytes of raw, unprocessed sounds. Its retail price is €159.

Its features include:

• 63 GB of raw, unprocessed drum sounds (delivered on a USB drive)
• Five complete kits
• Two complete kits recorded with a ”snare wires off” option
• A total of 17 snare drums, nine (9) kicks and a wide array of cymbals
• Extensive MIDI library included

The Progressive EZX features a custom selection of content from The Progressive Foundry SDX and comes with three complete kits recorded by engineer/producer . It is available for €69.

The Progressive EZX features include:

• Three complete kits and a wide range of cymbals
• 14 mix-ready presets tailored for metal and heavy rock

Both expansions were recorded & engineered by Forrester Savell and sampled by Karnivool’s Steve Judd at the Sing Sing Recording Studios in Melbourne, Australia – apparently continuing Toontrack’s world tour (as the previous EZX released to date had been recorded in Iceland).

The Progressive Foundry MIDI pack is also available for €25. It includes drum grooves in 4/4, 5/4, 6/4 and 7/8 variations in straight feel played by Australian drummer Brody Simpson. Each song folder includes detailes song structure (intro, verse, chorus, bridge etc), and their tempos range from 67 BPM to 180 BPM.
