IronAxe is based on physical modeling of electric guitars (Stratocaster and Telecaster) and allows you to customize the instrument (pickup number, type and position, tone adjustment, strings, pick hardness, fingering…), the virtual instrument reproduces all the electric and acoustic elements of the original instruments. You can also choose between several playing techniques (palm mute, tapping, strumming…) and you can play them all with you MIDI keyboard.
You can complete your setup with a choice of 10 effect racks and stompboxes and 6 amp/cab and room simulations.
IronAxe v1.5 add a new KeyStrummer mode that allows for generating complex strums, phrases and riffs in real time using only your MIDI keyboard.
Xhun Audio also improved the other playing modes, so you now have several ways to play hammer-ons and pull-offs in real time via the Slide Performance mode. Plus, the Performance Key engine and Quick Strums mode have been remapped, and changed were brought to the GUI.
IronAxe is a VST plug-in for Windows 32-bit, it is available for 99€ at www.xhun-audio.com. The update is free for existing users and you can download a trial version. Note that Xhun Audio started developing versions for Mac and Windows 64-bit.
