Cinematic Keys is a 8GB+ library designed for Kontakt 5. It features samples of more than 850 traditional and “mutilated” instruments, in 24-bit/48kHz format, as well as multis. All come from recordings of acoustic pianos, harpsichords, electric pianos (Wurlitzer) and toy pianos played in a standard way but also plucked, strummed, bowed… Sample Logic also manipulated the samples to create original sounds, textures, ambiances and more.
Along with these samples, you’ll find a collection of sounds recorded during the destruction process of an upright and toy pianos. The team used for this special treat hammers, machetes, a blowtorch and more. These sounds can be used, for instance, in cinematic compositions and sound design.
The custom GUI for Kontakt includes 8 effects, an ArpeggiGator, Triggers with 48 effect chains/presets, an LFO section and a brand new FX Animator that allows for modulating and sequencing the effects in real time. 150 presets are included for this FX Animator, as well as an additive synthesis engine and macros to sequence the parameters of each instrument.
Cinematic Keys will be released on September 8th, with a price of $349.99, but you can pre-order it and benefit from a special price of $275. You can listen to audio demos at www.samplelogic.com.
