New Sonic Arts has announced that a Mac OS X Audio Unit version of Granite, its "Granular Texture Generator" instrument plug-in, is now available.
Granite is a granular synthesizer designed to generate evolving, organic textures, atmospheres and soundscapes. Granite offers various transformation possibilities, and can generate sounds such as organic basses and processed loops.
Featuring movement recorders and “cycle” modulators, Granite can operate as a free-running sound generator, or as a playable MIDI instrument. Most parameters can be controlled via MIDI CC and host automation, according to New Sonic Arts.
Pricing & Availability
Granite costs $80 and is now available for Windows 32– and 64-bit VST and 32-bit Mac OS X Intel AU (OSX 10.5 or above).
