xoxos has released Element, a loop modulating wav player (a.k.a. "sampler") which loads a single 8-, 16- or 24-bit wav.
Element allows the user to select alternate interpolation, crossfade, looping and a variety of filter modes.
The plug-in is based on a series of open source SEM modules for SynthEdit that were developed to facilitate development of WAV-based instruments. These modules and their sourcecode are available at
www.xoxos.net/sem/samplemodules.zip.
Pricing & Availability:
Element is free and is available as a VST instrument plug-in for Windows. It comes with two GUIs and can be downloaded here.
