The EastWest Hollywood strings is a virtual plug in that really takes your string instruments to new heights. The interface is very user friendly and easy to understand. I am usually really picky when it comes to vst’s that have string instruments because most of them sound to cheesy and digital. I like authentic sounding strings. Now in this vst I wont say that all of them sound “real” but most of them sound real. You also have the ability to edit almost every parameter of the sound to get it to sound exactly how you want it to sound.

Setting it up was pretty easy , just use the disk that I comes with and put it in your pc and it will auto run and save it to your vst folder on your computer and let your DAW auto recognize it and you are good to go. Installing it didn’t take that long either just needed to get all those soundfonts into your computer is what takes a little while. The size of the program is pretty large so if you are computer is slow it will take a while to load up.

You will be using this vst in a lot of your songs. You will love how easy the program is to operate. I pretty much have it open in almost every project that I am working on because I don’t play any thing like those instruments I need to be able to add them to my music virtually. There are so many vst’s online you need to find one that is dedicated to just string instruments there are some good ones out there and the EastWest Hollywood strings VST is one of the good ones. It doesn’t cost that much either, I am not sure if they have upgraded it yet though.

It takes a big config to run it, forget if you have a dualcore, and mini 6 to 8 GB of RAM, 16 being best
otherwise, the release cut, it crashes ...

used on my config, it will run smoothly.

I tried many strings before (LOL)
it gives me the best violins existing wholesale banking market, far ahead of vienna and other lass ...
on the other hand it is better to have multiple banks because it is only for strings grandioso film, bo, tv series etc etc ...
very good complement to EWQL
if you want a string quartet chamber music genre, go your way.

I like the most?
1 - sound
2 - incredible expression
3 - realism: if we tell you it's not a plug, not noticing

1 - the price
2 - big config requires

I do it again this choice without any hesitation
