There are no less than 28 GB of string sounds that Native Instruments has included in its new Emotive Strings instrument for Kontakt.

Emotive Strings has been produced in collaboration with Dynamedion, who already worked on Action Strings and Action Strikes.

The collection for Kontakt 5 features 175 legato phrases and 72 themes played by the string section of Budapest Scoring Symphony Orchestra.

The controls have been simplified to their minimum so you can fully focus on the playing: choose the legato phrases with the left hand and the tone with the right hand ; the velocity determines the major or minor modes, which allows for modulating the phrases directly from the keys. The modulation wheel will serve for crescendos and decrescendos and the GUI offers a score view, an EQ, stereo width, mic positions and a reverb.

Emotive Strings is available for 299 € at www.native-instruments.com.
