Rob Papen released a video that introduces his upcoming Quad virtual synthesizer for the Reason DAW.
Quad is a brand new synth designed from scratch by Rob Papen’s team for the Propellerhead DAW. It features 2 oscillators, with multiple waveforms, that can be combined through different cross modulation functions.
The instrument also includes distortion and wave shaping features that can be used via four XY pads, which are controllable via a modulation matrix. Rob Papen adds that the movements can be automated directly in Reason. Last, you’ll find in Quad two analog modeled filters, an arpeggiator and two effect processors.
Quad is not yet listed on the Propellerhead Rack Extension page, but its release is imminent. Here’s the presentation video:
