Trumpet Corps Vol. 1 is a 30GB+ and 10 000 samples of solo and A2 section trumpets. As usual, Spitfire called professional concert players and Jake Jackson to record the instruments at the Air Studios in London. You can then mix the collection with the other BML libraries to complete your virtual orchestra.
For this first volume, Spitfire focused on the “essential articulations” (10+ for the A2 section and 5 for the solo trumpet) and you can mix 4 distinct microphone perspectives (Close, Tree, Ambient and Outrigger), with more positions to come (Stereo Mic, Close Stereo Ribbon, Gallery and 3 mixes from Jake Jackson, all will be available for free).
The Trumpet Corps GUI offers controls for the multiple velocity layers and round robins, as well as the Ostinatum feature to create complex patterns. Spitfire also included its True Legato system and a smart articulation auto-change.
Trumpet Corps Vol. 1 has a special price of £199 instead of £249 until June 12th. You can order it now at www.spitfireaudio.com/bml-trumpet-corps-volume-1. Note that it requires the full version of Kontakt 4/5.
