Soundiron invited mezzo-soprano Kindra Scharich to record her voice for The Alto edition of the Voice of Rapture solo vocal series.

This new edition of the Voice of Rapture vocal series for Kontakt is dedicated to the Alto voice. The 6.3 GB library features 38 instrument presets for the full version of Kontakt 5.1 and later and more than 8,300 samples.

To produce this collection, Soundiron recorded Kindra Scharich in a dry studio with both cardioid and condenser microphones in order to capture chromatic articulations and melodic elements. You’ll find 4 types of true legato for the Ah, Mm, Oh and Oo sounds, sustains and staccatos for the Ah, Ee, Eh, Oh and Oo vowels with piano and forte dynamics, as well as 29 latin and staccato vowel words with polyphonic legato. 12 Latin chromatic sustained chants with are also available with polyphonic legato, tempo sync and word select. Soundiron adds that all the chromatic articulations can be played on a 2-octave range.

Voice of Rapture: The Alto also gives you access to a phrase collection featuring 1,262 fast and slow melodic elements for live performance, and organized into 4 main categories (Pure Vowel, Latin, French and Whistling). Each phrase bank comprises tempo sync, time stretching, transpose, step sequencing, breath effect controls and more. Soundiron also included a selection of vocal ambiences, drones, atmospheres and pads created from the artist’s voice. Last, a DSP rack with multi-effects, compressor, EQ, amp and speaker simulation and a reverb with rooms, chambres, halls and special FX impulses are available.
