The Fostex MR8 MK II
Very simple, this small multi-plugs quietly is still very small! for the home studio, impeccable
The connection is analog, you have actually two tracks that can register simultaneously.
Inputs are XLR or Jack. on the first of two tracks, you have three choices:
- Guitar input (with an amp simulator adjustable 3 position)
- A line-identical to the second track
- Mic-line position, which uses the built-in microphone to fostex, again with 3 Effects Simulation for micro)
You have more, for each track, four different effects (room, hall, flat delay) adjustable, you can control the dose at knob, effect send on each track
The accuracy of sampling is to 44Khz
The support is a compact flash card type
You can connect a footswitch
The machine has a MIDI Out
But above all, two USB connecting your PC and fostex
the fostex makes your point in Wawe FILES, thus after the operation carried out very quickly burn your CDs! Cool
UTILIZATION
This is the fostex!
A quick read of the manual is very well done lets you record your first track very quickly!
The functions are really accessible and clear!
SOUNDS
The general dynamic is very good to excellent reading on your compact flash, or that it degrades when you turn Wawe you file for your PC. You really do not lose quality, but sound power. CDs are engraved and very low volume ... I have not found a solution ..
OVERALL OPINION
5 months here I use the Fostex MR8 Mk II
What I like: size, ease of maintenance, ease of use, sound quality ... (It is coupled to 2 Tannoy Reveal active, the sound is perfect !!!!! No Breath)
All the little features and more (to read the master with three choices poxerful effects, natural, bright)
But is mainly the ability to transmit directly to your PC and recorded the songs, which converts them Wawe Point: What happiness!!
The four recordable tracks (two simultaneously), which can then be transplanted on tracks 5 / 6, which gives you another 4 new tracks recorded!
So what makes a total of 8 tracks, and finally with a touch of the button 1-6 to 7 / 8 gives you eight tracks mixed quality that you can burn it quickly to your PC!
I use before the antediluvian TASCAM has 464 K7 ....
The value for money is awesome!
Of course, I do it again this election! I will say though that the model with internal hard drive should know better made when burning CDs ...
Even for Live taken by repeating, 2 micro enough to have a quality recording ...
And when must I go through my mixer ....
To buy the closed eyes for those who want quality cheap ... € 200 is impeccable!
