Rather well stocked indeed, it is the ideal start for pedalboard. It covers all necessary in search of its effects, and the result is a largely met our expectations. The first notable fault is all plastic, but after almost 15 years of use it still holds up. Wow

UTILIZATION

Too bad the screen is not backlit, this being so, it is amazingly simple. We can change the various effects in a logical and childish chaining, the values ​​are adjusted with + and - as a classic pedal before! Simply save ca in different banks and rolls ca. You can rename its presets which proves handy. No need to book but the beast is better with mastery.

SOUND QUALITY

Deeply disappointed at the time by the cold and terribly digital distos I finally tamed the beast and get sounds convincing. The quality of delays surprised me reverbs, chorus, flanger and tremolo being relatively nice too. I enjoyed much less amp simulation completely distorting loudspeakers. The headphone, obviously, it does not still hurt.

OVERALL OPINION

Almost 15 years and I always nikel. The expression pedal has almost never served me as too loose and always unscrewed ... false whammy was really rotten, the wah teop brouillonnne. I changed to go on something stronger and certainly more current, after having long used a digitech rp 2000. I much prefer my line 6 floor pod which is much more complete and has more current sounds that really make PRO.

If I were to advise, I would say that 50-60 euros in good condition, it is a sacred thing and a great tool for GOOD START.

I got this piece of heaven at the GUitar Center in Ohio used for a little under $100.00

Man this thing is sweet. I was a big fan of the Boss Metal Zone pedal but was looking into getting some delay and wah going on. So I did some research and liked what I heard, this thing has great distortion, everything from bluesy overdrive to full out Metal Zone saturation. The effects are also nice you can adjust them on computerized knobs which is cool and quite easy. I've heard people complain about the wha and it's true that it doesn't have the sweep of a crybaby but it'll get the work done.

The only thing I don't like is that it's made of plastic. I can stomp pretty hard sometimes but so far it's a trooper.

Good, just the plastic issue.

This is a great piece of equipment if you are considering buying one I would definately urge you to do so.

I bought this unit used because of my budjet and love for different sounds. I needed a effects pedal that would put out for a couple hundred bills. guess what I found it.

Heard lots of bad things about the ME-30. "it doesn't give me the sound I wanted... blah blah!" Give it up guys! This unit is awesome, lots of different sounds mean a broader band of musical types. Music that is unreffined without being able to pigeonhole it into a shelf section in a music megastore. "it doesn't sound like the jeff beck solo I'm trying to emulate?"

You know why?
because your supposed to make your own music... ME-30 has lots of different options, combine chorus,tremolo, phaser sounds. Do what you want. For a couple hundred dollars its Damn solid, buy it and get creative.

It's built tough enough for you to bring it to a live show and stomp on it when your stoked. Just make sure the guy watching you in the front by the stage doesn't spill beer on you ME-30.

get a drum machine, a recorder and some lyrics... just giv'er.

Purchased the unit at alocal music shop in Edmonton, Alberta. I paid Around $350.00CND
I was using an old Ibanez effects rack but it was beyond repair, I use to play in aband but I no longer do and I only require a toy rather than a durable road unit.

I like the simplicity of the unit for just playing at home, I would not recomend it for playing in a road band but for jamming around home or in a local band it is a simple compact unit with allot of bang for your buck, great distortion options great course and delay. Built in tuner is great to.
It has a track play back for those of us that can't read music and don't have the patients for tab you can slow down riffs and catch them by ear, it's great.

You can not use all of the effects at one time, not that you would nessecarly need them all at once but sometimes if you are trying to copy someones sound you can't quiet get it because you are limited by effects. Very limited on manual as well if you have a good amp that you like to use and just compliment with effects this is not a unit for you, it is a unit for your complete sound.

Again it is well built for an amature but there are better units for the pros. It is durable and easy to use.

For the investment I looked at allot of units and the ME-30 gives you all that an amature needs in a compact user freindly package. I would recomend it to anyone with $300.00 bucks who needs a new toy.

i bought this off the internet from some dude in florida. I paid $100 for it, worth every penny. I got it b/c i was looking to expand my sound

I love this pedal. Very easy to use, you probably don't even need the manual. All the effects sound good. What i probably like the most is that you have three patches per effect program. Ten effects programs and 3 patches per program. This makes switching between FX a lot easier, and makes the pedal much more simple to use.

the wah. It doesn't sound that great, and it doesn't have a big range. Also, the if you are looking for a distortion with some hard edge to it, you might want to get another one. The dist sounds okay on this unit, but it's no where near something like the Metal Zone

great quality, but buttons are kind of close together though

great MFX unit, if you can find one, pick it up.

I borrowed the BOSS ME-30 from a friend for about a month and a half. He said he paid $100 for it off eBAY.

It's very easy to use, even without the manual. It is very durable and reliable. It has 30 presets and 30 user patches. It has a variety of different sound styles. It has Learn a Lick built in to record a sample of a song from CD, and you can slow down the speed without changing the pitch.

It takes about half a second to change to another effect. This sounds bad if your playing live. It's hard to keep the pedal in one position. I was playing at a gig once and I couldn't keep it at the volume I wanted. It's also hard to see the display at low light.

This unit is VERY tough and durable! It can be dropped and stepped on, and it will still play like new!(Most of the time). It lasts for a long time.

This is a pretty good pedal for it's price. It's more like something to buy for your first pedal or just to mess around on.

I got this on closeout at my local music store for $140 US. It had just picked up my first guitar, and wanted something to expand my sound possibilities

Easy to learn. I got mine open box, with no manual, and had to figure it out. Volume is nice to use. Easy to change programmed sounds, or to use in manual mode turning on and off effects.

The Wah Wah. Plain and simple, you won't like it. It changes the sound in any position that you have the pedal. I also wish the LCD was backlit. It does kind of glow, but is still hard to see in low light situations, or with glare.

Very tough. Jump on it, stomp on it, it will still go. As time went on the spring on the expression pedal got loose, but I find I like it. I leaves the pedal in one position when you aren's using it.

This was a great thing for me. I am still learning, and I found it helped motivate me, being able to re-create the sounds I heard from my favorite bands. If you use a Wah, keep the one you have, don't figure on this replacing it. Great for someone who is learning, and gets tired of just the sound from their amp.

I bought this unit from my local music store. I went in there and said i need sum effecys and the guy set me up it was 399 cdn but i got a deal for 250.



The unit is great!!!! im in a punk band and usually we like our plain overdrive and chorus. i was a bit worried about all the buttons but i found it easy to use and very usefull!



the only think i dont like about this unit is that it sometimes takes a couple of millliseconds for the effect to process wich when you are playing live can be a hastle but if your laud enough the crowd cant hear it any ways. also the butons are sorta' close together, with a sz. 14 shoe u can sometimes hit the wrong effect but thats alright.



the unit is damn tough!!! i have jumped on it while playing (accidentally of course) and it keeps on tickin also i have spilled a can of pop and dropped it a few times and it still plays and looks like a million bux!

I was initially using a BOSS Metal Zone distortion kit,and was longing for a multi Effect processor for a long time.Once my band's Bassist asked me to help him in buying a Multi Effect Processor as he wanted to shift to Lead Guitaring. Since I owned a BOSS Distortion and was more than satisfied with its performance, I asked him to get a BOSS processor. Two weeks latter his father sent him a BOSS ME 30 which his father bought for 250 US$. His father basically knew nothing about Guitars or Processors and this friend of mine had never used a kit before, So he asked me to help him use it ,he didnt have an electric guitar and was planning to buy one and since i had one he kept the kit in my house and asked me to program it for him. I spent some 15 - 20 days with the Processor and in that time i Got hold of sounds i loved hear from my guitar .I could now play METALLICA - "Enter Sandman" , VAN HALEN'S "Panama", IRON MAIDEN'S " Wasting Love" and so many other songs which i longed to play but couldnt as i couldnt get the right sound for them.I wished i owned that kit and suddenly Fortune Struck and my friend decided to stick to BASS Guitaring and wanted to sell the BOSS ME 30, and the very next day i payed him 180 US $ and got the kit from him . I knew that he wasnt lucky and I was Blessed to get a brand new BOSS ME 30 which cost 250 us$ for 180 us$.

The BOSS ME 30 is one of the smallest Kits in its category .I have played with ZOOM 2020,ZOOM 505,BOSS GT 5( recently) but of all these kits ME 30 looks neat and Clean Its got a great LCD display that makes things easier.The volume and expression controls are great, so now i can switch from a rough Distorted sound to an amazingly Clean undistorted patch without getting that unwanted noise during that shift and the expression pedal gives you control over you Distortion Drive Limit which sounds great when you wanna play slow rock.The delay is absolutely marvelous you get to set delay patches that you could only Dream of. The first time i used the delay I could only think of Pink floyd and Def Leppard and most other Processors dont offer such Delay or can even sound like one of these bands.Programing is easy and once you are comfortable you can even set patches even in the middle of a show .And the kit is so dependable it has never let me down in any of the shows i have played in. I just Love this Kit.....


The only thing I dont like about the kit is the wah wah pedal it is not as good as the VOX pedal. You dont get the same Punch that the VOX Wah Wah Pedal offers you..


As i said before The kit is neat, Solid and is dependable its almost 2 years since i got it, It still rocks like a Brand new one. It has taken a lot of Abuse from my side I have accidentally dropped Coke on it, Dropped it on the floor a couple of times But It just wakes up and says " hello DUDE-I AM READY TO ROCK".

I was looking to give life to my beginner Godin Electric and be able to create a wide variety of sounds. The ME-30 ran me around $250.


It has a little bit of everything. Wah, overdrive, flanger, chorus, phaser, delay...


Somewhat complicated, and the ME-30 seemed to be a jack of all trades and a master of none. While the sounds were diverse and good for understanding how different effects work (they duplicate the controls of different pedals), they just didn't seem to duplicate the authenticity. The overdrive didn't seem to carry the beef it should. Perhaps it would be better if they concentrated on fewer, better.


Compact, durable, well-made.


In my opinion, no. If you want a little of everything, and just want to experiment. But for the musician who wants an authentic vintage amp sound, you're not going to get it from the ME-30.

The ME-30 covers a lot of bases as far as effects go, but will not satisfy the user looking for high-quality effects.

UTILIZATION

Operation is very simple (we can not be easier!) Is like having 6 pedals so we diffrent RULES each of which grace the screen of pdalier. .. I remember the manual as did a while since I remember and I have not even opened!

SOUND QUALITY

I use it live for diffrent pedals grouped on the other hand I do not touch the disto !!!!!!!! aarrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhhh ........... it is an ugly as it's not possible! I have another boss dedicates distortion pedals because I do not really support that of pdalier!
Otherwise the rest is trs good, especially for live, nothing wrong (especially for the price)

OVERALL OPINION

I therefore use the ME-30 for now ... uh ... I know! May be 4 or 5 years. I use it only because the live in my home studio I use the POD ... Apart from this horrible distortion, it's really a good product trs, ideal for beginners to learn and before the effects can be to go further and buy pedals to dies.

He has most of the existing main effects for use with a guitar compressor, distortion, amp simulator, noisegaite, eq, delay, flanger, reverb, chorus, harmonizer, tremolo, wha wha, volume pedal, and lots of others I do not really or so rarely!
-The pre-programmed patches are nice, programming is relatively simple (when it was included!) Too bad there have not MIDI Out!
-Ergonomics is nice, the expression pedal is correct, the use of pedals too!
-The screen is nice, but not lit (in the dark, we have to stick it to the eye to know what it is .............!!!!!!!( Is it mine, which is down or there is free ???????)

UTILIZATION

-The setup is relatively simple, but I find programming patches a bit long, it's faster on traditional pedals!
I have never read the doc ....!!!! As bcp users, I guess!?!

SOUND QUALITY

-The effects are generally good, except the parties "distortion / overdrive" that does not really worth the pedals of the same brand!
I use a Les Paul CUSTOM GIBSON, IBANEZ RG 140 an AMENDED COPY and START.
The effects-my favorite are all that is delay / flanger / reverb / eq / noise gate, the Wha-Wha is nice too! Distortions not sound terrible, they lack warmth and have nothing "Scotch"!

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for about 5 / 6 years!
-The "+": noise gate, delay, flanger, reverb, eq, chorus, and look! -The "--": The distortions, no lighting of the display, power outlet fragile, programming a little long to make!
"I tried the rack of" supermarket "that had distortions much better!
The price-quality ratio is good anyway, we must see that it is not very expensive for the BOSS!
For use with a distortion externe.Une "big quality" (which convinced me to buy one), the bottom bracket, this prevents qud even have a whole string of pedals, with all défaults this may cause (son of everywhere, many power supplies, various noises, the installation takes time (if you play in the studio (time is money!)

UTILIZATION

The ME30 is not hard to use and configure. It's like the pedals of the brand, so no worries. The screen is large but not clear and trs without lighting, it's a shame.
The pedals are holding up, for against the pedals of expression is limited in amplitude trs.

SOUND QUALITY

For effects such as compressor, chorus, flanger, phaser: it's okay but not great, the sound lacks a bit of momentum. It sounds even when not too bad but it's below what Boss pedals on spares.

For the wah and the expression is trs means a better wah pedals bvrai. For volume, say nothing.

L o has stuck it to distos: trsmdiocre. No heat in the sound is flat, without dynamic, no roundness, trs artificial shallow. J'arrte l. I never really used the distos I prfre those of my amp or my Marshall JH1.

OVERALL OPINION

I have used for a long time (8 years). I just sell it for a multi-effects without distortion, in a rack.
