Multi-purpose classic that is distinguished by its versatility:
- Modelling amp and speakers,
- Effects flanger, phaser, chorus, delay ...
- Pedal integrated (volume or expression),
- Tuner, Metronome,
- Headphone and audio in (for example mpm3).
The metal is excellent and reassuring, in a classic Korg.
UTILIZATION
Given the large number of features and the small number of buttons, the interface is not bad but it quickly assimilates the most common commands and the rest, the manual is there and it is well done.
Press a button to switch the bank at the top of her but to go back, you have to press two buttons at the same time, which is almost impossible to walk. Therefore squat and do it by hand. Not great in concert!
Note by the tuner against easily accessible by pressing and holding the button of his being. It is convenient and reliable.
SOUND QUALITY
I do not use the factory presets and I edited myself my own sounds.
- The chorus and flanger are excellent, which is usual with Korg,
- The saturation is just fine which is quite exceptional for this type of pedal (that's why I chose it). Of course, not equivalent to a tube amp but much better than the Pods for example! In my opinion the highlight of the Korg. To play blues / rock, I use mainly the Vox AC30 amp, Brit Stack (Marshall) and U.S. Hi-Gain (Soldano. It comes fairly well saturated sound of The Edge, Angus Young or Mark Knopfler example .
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for three years to work at home, in rehearsal and for some occasional concerts.
To work is my mobile studio! In this context, it lacks nothing. Associated with a headset and an MP3 player, it allows repeated throughout with the group of their choice, even at the hotel or on vacation, carrying just a guitar and a jack!
In repeated and improvised scenes on small, I plug it directly on the sound system and hop off you go, even need to carry an amp piss me off!
The volume pedal built compensates for approximate balances and get out of all situations.
In short, a small tool used in cheap (80 €) become indispensable to me!
