It is a compact digital multiFX totally not connect at all except for his fingers. It was just one amp output / headphones, a plug in to control an external footswitch (bypass / mute for example), the entry for grata or another, and 9V. (Transformer not included elsewhere).

We regret the merger of the headphones and amp. It also lacks the MIDI. Without going to the USB (that version has G2.1u), it would have been a bit of a automation sequencer PC.

UTILIZATION

Very simple configuration. It is true that the interface is not bad. However, the display could display more than one character for readability. It is often necessary to look at the knobs to see where we are if it is interrupted for a setting.
Apart from that, the settings are fairly simple and there are many possibilities without being infinite. Can be obtained quickly via various sounds somewhat complicated settings.

SOUND QUALITY

Digital multi-effect first prize. Bon bah it speaks volumes about the quality of sound you expect to get. And yet, although it is far from what can be achieved with "good" stuff, you can get nice sounds. The distos not satisfy the purists, of course, but it's not bad. With an entry level guitar, it's great. on the other hand, a good guitar is a waste.
The bypass is safe although it loses the level and dynamics. But hey, at that price, not bad anyway.
The only regret is a side too metallizing effects. Very valuable for certain types, much less for others.

OVERALL OPINION

I have this multi effect for 1 year now. I bought it to replace a Korg AX1500G I particularly hated. The G2 is as a multi purpose driven modern sound. No need to use something else. I also had a Vamp Berhinger. Again, if the settings are thinner and more opportunities, the sounds are so good. Obviously, there are better, but it is more expensive. The value for money is really excellent and its range is really good pedal.
With experience, I will not repeat that choice because you find yourself limited in search of a sound identity, but as a beginner, no worries.

In 10 days of use, I find that quality, speed of sound editing is remarkable, the logic of the machine is very well thought ..
I thought the lack of editing via the computer is low, it is not!

I use it for several years including a trip. It is very practical, not cumbersome and program choices are wide trs. Furthermore it is versatile. However the simulations are dcevantes but make service to play on a neutral source such as a headset or PA system. I have had other models of brands diffrent and Zoom. I think this brand has volumes for antrieurs The models were often sounds cold trs.

I have been around 9 months and I t deu by the distortion (that's only I bought the base) but I quickly learned to appreciate other effects as modulation or auto wah. I use mostly traspositions effect is polyphonic.

UTILIZATION

The general configuration is very simple: two chrome buttons are used to lower or up and down patches, small black buttons have different roles (choice of banks, edit mode, drum machine, ...) while the pots above are dedicated to editing sounds.
In edit mode, everything is very intuitive, we add the effects one after the other with the left and knob rules are the parameters with the three pots on the right. The manual, very clear, can quickly understand the general operation of the pedal.

In the end we are left with a rather well thought out pedal for creating and editing patches and with a real sound quality.
Only the change of patches and banks may seem limited.

For € 100 (+ € 10 to the adapter) this pedal is really complete and can be used to both beginners and experienced musicians who want to expand their universe of sound.
For the wealthy, still prefer the version that integrates directly G2.1u an expression pedal and USB output for recording (€ 150) or the outright G7.1ut (I have to offer me also) that integrates a light pre-amp - a little gadget I grant you - but especially for managing 4x2 sounds at the same time, against 2 for G2.

OVERALL OPINION

In fact I think it does everything, but not very well, I got tired very quickly. In summary, it is not good enough to plug into amp is too big to play with headphones and carry, the tuner is just to troubleshoot. SOUND QUALITY

I had this pedal with an old transistor amp. The sound emerged very cold, lifeless, especially the distorted sounds. But in a tube amp, you can feel the pedal really breathe. OVERALL OPINION

I had this pedal 4 years ago, and have neglected for 2 or 3 years for lack of a sound amplifier to enable it to properly. I rediscovered recently, and I was amazed at the sounds obtained in my new amp!
While the bypass is fairly transparent, it still takes a lot of momentum, so a looper "True Bypass" is essential if you have a tube amp and you're a little picky about the sound.
Otherwise, for the price, great pedal, but with experience, I chose the G2.1u, for the expression pedal (which can still be added later, I made mine, it works very well).

UTILIZATION

The effects of delay and reverb are very good!
I'm no fan of DeLay, but is excellent on the G2.
Reverb me a lot more. There is the natural setting of the volume reverberation, tone, and what I call the "intensity" of the Rever. SA to find perfect reverb.

This is the only multi-effect guitar that I really used, I've had 3 years.
I would say that it's a great little trick to have a backup, or a great little trick for those who want to make the guitar with a good multi-purpose.

Trivia: For a concert where I was supposed to be moments guitarist and drummer at times (I had to bring my drum hardware in addition to guitar), I get (cause: in the car) just my guitar and G2 I had this little set in advance (Simulation Office) as to be connected directly to the PA. Metal was a concert and it went well, it sounded (admittedly with a very refined setting) pretty well as it should.

I would do this choice, for the price, as stated several top: a nice little Swiss Army knife!

I'm impressed by the quality of this product. I only tried the factory presets without editing anything. The design is nice, the housing seems to be sturdy, the small tuner and the drum machine are convenient to play at home. The sound is very surprising considering the price. Of course, it sounds digital but usable in various applications. I'm even thinking about buying the version with expression pedal to have more fun.
