hi guys
im having issues running my focusrite 6i6
installation no problem at all
but when i set it all up in cubase
i can hear myself double latency
so i went to try and figure out what it was
so i found out something but i dont know how to fix it
so my controlpanel says
mic 1
mic 2
daw 1+2
daw 3+4
when i mute all except mic 1 i can hear myself
pretty good no latency at all 5ms
clean and dry no vst
when i add a reverb on that mic nothing happends still dry and clean
now when i unmute all and only use the daw 1+2 volume
i hear myself but now i can also hear the vst
but now i have latency (and no it isent the vst)
when i put the vst off i can still hear the latency
so in short
mic 1 solo no latency clean and dry vst not hearable
daw 1+2 solo vst latency with or without vst latency stays
im running cubase
with a scarlett 6i6 (newly bought no second hand)
on a windows 7 pc i5 3,1GHZ , 8ddr3 ramm
240 GB SSD
2x 2TB WD harddisks
Asus mainboard
can someone please help me out here cause its driving me nuts now !
If you disable all input monitoring within your DAW, and change the Mix Control routing preset to Zero Latency, does this resolve your issue? This is just to test that the routing for no latency is working ok.
If the issue persists for you, it would be helpful if we could remotely access your computer (with you present of course) in order to see what is happening more directly. We often use software called Team Viewer (www.teamviewer.com) with customers, it's free to use.
Once downloaded & installed, please access our support page here and start a Live Chat session:
You should see a flashing Live Chat button. Once you have made contact with a team member, ask them to login to Team Viewer, you can then provide them the ID & Password found in your Team Viewer program.
Hope this helps.
