Well, I mount my VEH ay ...
My microphone position so acute, I was not sure what to think of the final result before mounting. I asked Jay on board a microphone that could stick with my Dimarzio Custom (from a Musicman) in the neck position. This sounds super good, with pretty severe and medium rather Plutt creuss but without be absent. I wanted to go get this stuff on my LTD M-100FM (basswood body) with a microphone slecteur Megaswitch 5 positions.
I tried to ignore the name of the artist who draws the microphone to make me an overall idea.
The HEV has an average output level, not at all straight forward, versatile, just like the website said GFS. Compar my Dimarzio, it sounds quite balanced but it took me back quite the GFS height to achieve a good balance of output between two microphones.
Highs are put forward, just slammin, nevertheless remain very round. The medium rather presents are, but not intrusive.
- In his clear, this microphone is fully exploited, with a very musical chattering.
- In the crunch, AC starts to saturate not too bad, it sounds very pop-punk but very nice fawn, it will just remove a little sharp if you want a truly versatile sound. I succeeded even out the sound Nono on the song "Antisocial" TRUST.
- In its saturated's great too! Of slamming it right, without EXAGRES with an excellent attack. The microphone has a very nice presence, without being too bright. The sound of Eddie without complex, especially with rate distortion very levs. I think a lot of big mtalleux could really become a fan of this ultra-micro is very good for very specific on.
Splitt output level does not drop. The presents are even more acute while keeping a lil tip bounced (but just right?), The bass is back, but not absent. The sound does not distort.
In all cases, the microphone does not sound compressed at all (thank you magnet Alnico V) too bright or too modern.
In all scenarios, the sound was not excessive heat, which does not personally Drange. But frankly it's very on top of all pickups Ibanez mightymite, microwave or other no-name ...
Frankly, I do it again without hesitating that choice!

Mon micro étant en position aigu, je ne savais pas trop quoi penser du résultat final avant de le monter. J'avais demandé conseil à Jay sur un micro qui pourrait coller avec mon Dimarzio Custom ( provenant d'une Musicman) en position manche. Ce dernier sonne super bon, avec de jolis graves, et des médiums plutôt creusés mais sans pour autant être absents. Je voulais monter tout ce bazar sur ma LTD M-100FM ( corps en tilleul) avec un sélecteur de micros Megaswitch 5 positions.
J'ai essayé de faire abstraction du nom de l'artiste dont le micro s'inspire pour me faire un idée globale.
Le VEH a un niveau de sortie moyen, pas du tout bourrin, polyvalent, exactement comme l'indique le site GFS. Comparé à mon Dimarzio, il sonne assez équilibré, mais il m'a fallu remonter pas mal le GFS en hauteur pour atteindre un bon équilibre de sortie entre les 2 micros.
Les aigus sont mis en avant, à peine claquants, tout en restant pourtant très ronds. Les médiums sont présents, mais pas envahissants.
- En son clair, ce micro est pleinement exploitable, avec un claquant très musical.
- En son crunch, ca se met à saturer pas trop mal, ca sonne assez pop-punk mais de façon très joli, il faudra juste retirer un peu d'aigu si vous cherchez un son vraiment polyvalent. J'ai réussi à sortir le même son que Nono a sur la chanson "Antisocial" de TRUST.
- En son saturé, c'est excellent aussi! Du claquant comme il faut, sans exagérer, avec une attaque excellente. Le micro a une présence fort sympathique, sans être trop brillant. Le son d'Eddie sans complexe, surtout avec des taux de disto très élevés. Je pense que pas mal de gros métalleux pourraient vraiment devenir ultra-fan de ce micro qui est très bon car très précis.

Dans tous les cas de figures, le son n'a pas une chaleur excessive, ce qui ne dérange pas personnellement. Mais c'est très franchement au-dessus de tous les micros Ibanez, mightymite, ou autre micro no-name...
