Value For Money : Excellent
- Amplification technology (tube, solid state, ...)?
65 W transistor amp

- Output power?
??? It's mighty

- Connections?
Varies depending on the year. On the old ones, 3 jack inputs, while on the newer ones, the first one is an XLR combo.
Effects loop (pre-EQ) on the front.
On the back headphones connector, Preamp output, Amp input, pedal switch.

- What about controls, effects etc.?
Volume / Input
Four-band EQ
Reverb

All good in terms of specs. It only lacks a semi-parametric, so I give it a 9

UTILIZATION

- What about the settings?
A delight

- Is it easy to get the right sound?
Yes, it rocks. Especially the lows: 15" speaker
On the other hand, the sound lacks some personality. Although that seems logical for a keyboard amp...

- Is the user's manual clear and comprehensive?
You need a manual to set an amp?

OVERALL OPINION

- How long have you been using it?
5-6 years

- Which features do you like the most / the least?
The most: its power and lows
The least: its weight. I think it weighs 55lbs (25 kg). No pain, no gain.

- Did you try any other models before buying it?
Quite a few, I'd say

- How would you rate its value for money?
Excellent. You can find it for $200-$300 (150€-200€), depending on its condition, and it's a fair deal.

- Based on your experience, would you choose this product again?
Yes, without hesitation.

To give you and idea of the possibilities of this amp: my Laney PA system broke down once. It was the one we used to play in bars. A speaker burst. One day before a concert, a Sunday of course. What to do?
As a temporary solution I connected the KB 100 to the line out to use it as a main speaker on one side.
It worked so well that we quickly got rid of the Laney, bought a second KB100 and a console and used the two KB100 as PA speakers to play in bars.
We toured like that for several months before getting the money to buy real PA speakers. Nobody ever complained about our sound, quite the opposite.

Other ways I use this amp:
- as an emergency bass amp
- to complement a small PA system for fiestas in the jardin to get more powerful lows. In fact it can almost serve as a subwoofer.

At that price, I buy more every chance I get.
