1 Newbie... I want to start recording but ain't got a clue.
Hi... I am looking to buy a PC specifically for recording music ie recording guitars, voclas and drums. But I am not clued up at all when it comes to computers.

Just wondering if you guys could answer a few questions.

1) Whats the difference in recording on say a 8 track or a 16 track to recording your music on to a PC ??

2) Would £400 get me a decent enough computer with the right specs to record music. I have checked out what some of the stores are selling Music PC's for and they are very expensive ??

3) what is the best software to use for recording guitars and vocals ??
