«  Brilliant »

6V6 tube amp, switchable to 1W, 6W and 15W. Despite the low power announced a startling loudness. Adjusting bass / middle (with booster) / treble in knob, a reverb to the old (mechanical) and shiny wet with desire, and a few knobs to adjust its (bright, smooth. Etc.).

UTILIZATION

In fact, there is nothing to do: once the guitar plugged in, it's just happiness. Adjusting to the ear, simple architecture.

SOUNDS

Frankly, I'm not an expert on the issue, but the sound is just awesome. I play jazz rather pretty hardbop and rockab 'with old guitars (Gibson ES 175 -1974) or single-coil pickups often or repetition of old mics of the 50's (ST48 stimer on guitars of the 50s') and I looking for a tube amp with a grain powerful, and very round. In 15W, his enormous, with low super hot, and a dazzling light. It is not in the twin reverb, but relative to the size of the amp is cleaner and warm as her hyper. In 1W and 6W, amplificatioin tighter, with the crunch in the attacks and a lot of sweetness in the melodies. Frankly, I was looking for a tube amp with a sound very warm, kind vintage to the roundness or Jimy Rainey Benson Gerges, a beautiful and dynamic attack. And well it succeeded! I play with a Boss EQ pedal with 7 bands, which says a little eq basic (but does it need?) And an AC booster for the crunch home XOTIC kind saturation old school, and that is squarely climb the amp curtain.

OVERALL OPINION

Purchased a week ago, so step back is true, but played every day, and so far little criticism, except for his weight (18 KG) light for a tube amp but still heavier compacting my EAR 60. I tried many before transistor, and two Badcat, but frankly the sound I was looking for the Singleman 16 is a gem. I do not know if it is versatile, I think metal fans can get their way, but for the rest of his fans and clean harmful, roots blues and garage rock a little smart, a huge beast.
