> Tube Amp: 2 Fender Groove Tubes preamp GT6L6B in three GT12AX7 for output.

> 4O watts into 4 or 8 ohms, and it disconnects.

> Connectors: two input, one for the guitar, the latter is preferable for instruments préamplififiés or high output, preamp out / power amp in, you can connect the preamp out jack to the input of effect pedals (s) and their output to the power amp in, a footswitch input for the (supplied with the amp).

> Settings: Three channels with a common EQ, ample, a volume for its clear, drive which adjusts the gain level for the drive and more drive channels, to combine with the master volume for both channels; treble, bass and middle course, reverb, presence. The clean sound can be swapped in normal or bright with a push button, the channel change is in the same way, or by using the footswitch (the drive is more especially a gain for overamplification the drive channel).

UTILIZATION

> A simple setup, the manual is to remind you that you are "the proud owner of a Hot Rod, because Fender is good", so a somewhat limited interest (the impact that the death of Tino Rossi has had on the foreign policy of North Korea is very illustrative of my point).

> Sound: I love, there's plenty to say. Clearly, this is very pure with minimal adjustment. Bright mode allows to make the sound more clear and crystalline (the term that best defines Fender I think). The EQ is very pleasant to learn, this is not the case with all amps. By increasing the bass, mids at noon, the sound of Wes Montgomery, a little more than middle and you can play Midnight Blue by Kenny Burrell. The highs are present naturellemnt so their adjustment is made in small steps.
The drive channel increases the gain of the sound. It can be booster when passing on the More Drive channel. We go from blues to the 80's almost hard to n'R G, playing with the presence (modeling of high frequency sound) and reverb. Do not expect to play the heavy with, or when grafting a distortion pedal on the clean / overdrive on channel saturated, preferably transparent to keep the sound of the amp, which is just beautiful.

SOUNDS

> The Hot Rod is a pretty versatile amp, I play both jazz, rock, anyway, there's not bored, it rings.

> I'm playing with a Vigier Excalibur UltraBlue, and Dunlop Wha, what's any good.

OVERALL OPINION

> Used for a week just

> I like the clean, accurate settings, the footswitch included (not required to pay € 30 as it happened with other brands ...). For now, nothing bad to report.

> I tried a Marshall JCM 2000 DSL401, bof bof, an Engl Thunder 50, not bad at all, Peavey, but Blowin 'in the clear ...

> Posted € 979 in my favorite store (Guitarman Ris Oranges), do not hesitate to negotiate or to sell your old equipment, pickup / trade actions are "common" with the manager, also true professional.
