SOUNDS

Well I've got a Epiphone G400 with EMG81 the easel so it's more for the big sound and the amp is perfect for this! But in any case it's a tube amp so it mean its super mega tearing your crazy concert even alone in your room!!

The clean sound is really great guys at peavey we did a good job over the gain knob is quite acute for intressant.Donc for clear sound nothing to say you Chipot a bit with the buttons and find you problem without the sound you want.

Quite versatile considering its price range.

UTILIZATION

Easy configuration: one EQ per channel and two channels. Just warm up the amp and play!

The worst is definitely the footswitch, which is very expensive and made out of plastic...

It's difficult to get a really good sound! The lead channel allows you to play rock stuff and nothing else!

The clean channel sounds nice but I don't use it that much!

SOUNDS

It didn't match my music style (Parkway Drive and August Burns Red metal core) although I got acceptable results after customizing it.

I upgraded the speakers, added a 2 x 12" speaker cabinet (for a total of four speakers), used a TL Audio 5051 as preamp stage and a Metal Muff pedal to get a satisfying result!

For the last gig without a PA system I had enough power compared to the other guitarist who plays a Peavey XXX with a 4 x 12" Framus cabinet.

I give it a 7, not without first repeating that you need to customize it to get good results!

OVERALL OPINION

I've been using this amp with a band for about one year.

It sounds nice if you upgrade several components.

The amp is rather heavy and I added handles on the side panels to transport it with the help of someone else because it's very difficult to carry it on your own.

My first amp was a 60-watt solid-state Peavey Bandit and I didn't want to buy a Peavey again... I also owned a Marshall MG100 DFX and when I decided to buy a tube amp I chose a Peavey again (this Valveking). Now I have a 5150 so Peavey can't be that bad lol.

Good value for money, perhaps even virtually unbeatable except by the new Bugera 333XL... but it's a low-end tube amp! So don't expect to get the sound!

Based on my experience, I would save my money to buy a real tube head and a 4 x 12" cabinet, which is a much more effective solution!
