The goal is to have a mini USB keyboard powered car to return some bass lines (synth or sampler) and plated in a few riffs in Logic or Cubase on a MacBook Pro.

So small, solid, and responsive.

Moreover, the presence of an arpeggiator was a good choice for me.

The USB connector is self powered, no need drivers (PC and Mac users)

UTILIZATION

Hits: nothing to say, the keyboard is sturdy, it is very responsive, pleasant to use despite its relatively small size.
Sustain keys and programming the arpeggiator is very easy and intuitive access.

The manual is. Pdf (but a little help from your printer and voila), French (and many other languages) and is very clear.
No need to read aloud the same sentence for the 5th time to understand a bad translation!

The config is super simple:
It unpacks the camera.
It is plugged into the USB on his computer.
It launches its software sequencer (logic and cubase for me, but recognizes the garage band live, too)
We select an instrument (I telling you anything I think;)
And we play.
Perfect.

The selection of "preset" (4 total, including arpeggiator settings) are very easily support key selection
presets combined with the push of a button on the keyboard. Very easy, even "live"

OVERALL OPINION

Use for 1 month daily

Another competing model tested: Korg NANOKEY. (Junk)
The Akai surpasses altogether. By far.

Yes I would do the choosing, of course. Small, beautiful, well finished, SOLID, pleasant to the touch.

I like his size and it is surprisingly very cheap, 45 €! Yet the materials used are the same as the premium brand .. Cool!

Unbeatable value for money. I strongly recommend it.
