« Excellent small keyboard »
Published on 01/02/13 at 08:40My choice was motivated by the number of keys, small (no need for a large keyboard, not being keyboardist) and the large number of controls. I was looking for knobs and pads, and I've used.
UTILIZATION
The touch keyboard is very good for a keyboard of this range. Compare a mini Korg is velvet. The knobs are also very well made, and these are the same found on the APC series. Pads, however, are very hard and it takes a little force to get a note (nothing to do with the pads of my APC40 or my QuNeo, for example ...).
The manual is almost non-existent and poorly designed, but anyway not essential for anyone who has ever used a MIDI keyboard.
The general configuration is very clear and easy to use, and the settings are easy with the help of software provided by AKAI.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for a few months now and it has very quickly built my setup. I tried a lot of keyboards situated in the highest range (Triton style), and others in the same range (Novation style) and it beats them all in terms of ease of use.
What I love most: the large number of controls for a small keyboard, value. What I like least: the pads, a complete overhaul.
With the experience I definitely do it again this choice.
