I turned toward the A-500PRO (updated v1.15) because I have to use the sequence APRIS Sonar since version 6.0 on windows and that the program is signed CAKEWALK of Roland as the A-PRO and then I am very pleased that Roland is a brand with nothing to prove. I plugged the midi output of my mpc 2500 to the input of my A-500PRO which also has a sustain pedal and everything works perfectly.

UTILIZATION

The touch keyboard is nice for me, although I do not have either hit a lot of keyboard and I am not a great keyboard player, I use it to compose beat and I'm not ready to sell it. Everything is configurable above, you really can do anything you want with.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 3 years without any problems, except when I was on Sonar 8.0, at the time there was still no compatibility. But since I switched to Sonar X2a, everything works perfectly!

I started with a Miditech Midistart 2 keyboard Then I had a Behringer UMA25S and then before buying the A-PRO I tried the Akai MPK49 which was great but also more expensive, as well as full other keyboard.

What I like is that everything is over and easy to use, I do not see what we could add him apart from moving the screen in the middle and pads all right.

OVERALL OPINION

I will not go into the details of a viewpoint noon because the competition is doing as well and found the "subsistence" at this price.
I will rather focus on the quality of the keyboard is very light stroke but pleasant and highly configurable (the manual, if you need it, is quite successful).
Dynamics is quite well respected (this is obviously not a piano keyboard) and the keys respond well.
However, if you want to use aftertouch (monophonic must say), it is not what it does best, because you have to press as a "nag", which I grant you is not very "musical", I mean that in terms of expression, aftertouch on the keyboard a little fishing.
Overall, despite its very light weight (I repeat myself) it seems reliable construction and I find that its price remains above the competition.

OVERALL OPINION

In two words, for a midi keyboard 49 keys, for me this is the choice that came naturally:
- Fair price for the product is there are probably better but more expensive ...
- Touch: Very good for the price, it's a bit above my Korg PA800.
- Features: everything you need
- The programming software, mapping, has no problem with me, we assign knobs, faders, you save loads the presets in Pro A500-and VST-i meet ...
- On the negative side: small screen, but hey you live with ... and no transformer comes with, but it's the same in the competition.
