Note: I wrote this review after my purchase in 2005. I correct him in 2009 after a stint with the violin maker who has significantly improved the guitar in less than an hour.
- Made in USA (Montana)
- The microphone is a Fishman Acoustic Natural Metrix I (with switchjack to conserve battery that attaches to the inside of the body)
- There is no adjustment of microphone. It should therefore provide a possible external equalizer
UTILIZATION
- Channel pleasant but the strings were high (4mm at 12th fret while Gibson recommends 2.6 mm). Since a stint at the maker (the excellent Benoit de Bretagne ( http://www.benoit-de-bretagne.com/ ) ), everything is back to normal after filing the bridge saddle and 2 or 3 shots master's paw.
- Concerning access to acute, it is a form jumbo, not provided for this.
- Of course, always because it is a jumbo, it takes up space but weight level, it poses no problem.
- The sound is not good: it is excellent!
SOUNDS
- No sound by setting the guitar. His main fault was initially in electroacoustic sound excessive bass. The transition from the luthier has solved the problem: the bridge saddle, besides being too high (see above correctly) was dug in the middle, where the excess low or rather the lack of midrange. A shot of lime and presto, it sounds the fire of machine, the guy there with a beard, not Father Christmas, his boss instead.
- In acoustics, it is nickel (especially since the setting excellent ) Benoit de Bretagne ( http://www.benoit-de-bretagne.com/ ) .
OVERALL OPINION
- I bought it in August 2005 in the USA. I love this guitar even if it spun me cramps and horn to start! What explained the excellent Benoit de Bretagne ( http://www.benoit-de-bretagne.com/ ) , is that even high-end guitars in stores require a height adjustment. This is to prevent them from curl when the customer thinks he is Ted Nugent.
- I like the roundness of sound, very balanced. If I were doing, I left the USA of course!
