I sold a Taylor 410 CE for me this beast, and I do not regret my choice.
In which country was it made? (USA, Japan, Mexico, France ...)
Acoustic electric guitar made in the USA (Nazareth, Pa.)
How many frets, what kind of microphone and their configuration?
20 frets, 14 released by the cutaway
Fishman Onboard Aura preamp
What are the settings (volume, tone, selector micro ...)?
The small doc included with the guitar explains the possibilities of the preamp.
It's impressive what can be done. In addition to classic Bass, Mid, Treble and Volume (on my Taylor I had that bass, treble and volume), we have lots of other things.
A six-position selector selects a configuration derived from sound studio conditions with a special microphone located more or less away from the guitar for each position.
Each of the six positions gives you a sound so different.
One can also choose to simply play from the mic the guitar and therefore does not deal with this 6-position selector.
Finally, we can manage the mix between the 2 with a slider (high position is played with only 6 positions selector, low position, it was the microphone to the guitar in the middle we mix the two up to equivalence. Playing on the stroke of the slider we manage the mix level.)
On each mode (switch or micro) can always change the EQ, and remember if you prefer its own settings. You can of course return to the config 'default through manip' reset.
Tuner, technical antifeedback avoiding feedback, phase inverter micro .. It is very comprehensive.
In short a beautiful toy for those who want versatility.
What kind of stick?
I was told that Martin guitars were hard to play. So either this model is an effort, or my hand is made for this round. I think mainly it's really the best of the best, the handle is placed himself in the hand, no diffculty to bind the strips followed by open chords. The joy of playing, no less.
Now the sound: the wicked slap ouch ouch is balanced, it is round, clear, bass are present without choking the other frequencies. The treble is not too garish and mediums within the global level. it sounds, there is nothing to say.
I have not yet had the opportunity to plug my home, I did that from the beautiful 4 / 5 days, but when I go back to the store, I plugged in a Fender acoustic. I found the same sound that once plugged unplugged. It's hot, it snaps, it sends the coal what. We find the typical sound that we hear about some American records, a lovely acoustic sound. Where Taylor became my metal once connected with a decidedly unpleasant breath, I find myself now with the same sound in pure sound, but with more volume. Obviously if you use the dial 6 position, necessarily mean that the electro sound will be different from pure acoustic sound.
A beautiful finish, not so. Purely as an instrument of beautiful hand sight and sound. A wood-grain table pretty tight, pretty, beautiful bindings, including the back of the box (I'll let you view photos on the Martin site)
I made this purchase a little blind, not because the French catalog, you must place a special order, suddenly you can not try the instrument before. However for the price ($ 3849 U.S. catalog) we can only expect good. And I have long scrutinized the news, on the site Martin, etc. with appreciative. The record is up to my expectations. The guitar took only two short months been given me.
Comes in a TKL case magniqfique rigique, with the inscription above CF Martin & Co., the guitar is frankly in shelters. The whole case + guitar is very well balanced and above all a very decent weight.
I remake this choice with your eyes closed.
UTILIZATION
The handle is it nice?
It is not pleasant, it is beautiful. It's really just happiness
Access to acute (last string) Is it easy?
Ergonomics is it good (in terms of shape, weight ...)?
Do we get easily a good sound ...?
I mention above, but everything is nickel, the guitar is really made to be played, it's perfection. The guitar is not heavy at all, very well balanced.
Getting a good sound? Fiouu, how can I say? One branch is not allowed to touch anything while intermediate position and is already the killing .. then refining ....
SOUNDS
Are they suitable for your style of music?
From the first notes to the store trying the beast, I told myself that's it the sound I was looking for. In a word: ma-gni-fi-that.
I love this instrument
OVERALL OPINION
I retrieved May 27, we are 31. (Commissioned on 1 April: more than reasonable time and especially delivered in time, I was told early June, I even won a few days)
I'm already hooked on my instrument. It invites the composition is undeniable.
I played on a Taylor for a year, well almost because I do not even go out of its holster in time. I do not know why I always wanted to play on Martin, but a good model, I would not touch with Micarta or wood laminates.
Surely there must be the price (price € 3750 French catalog), but I managed to negotiate the price through competition.
I do not know why cons I'm not going to play with Martin directly. I probably listen to too much advice from my entourage, I CHOOSE Taylor went so basically me, I wanted to play on the legend Martin.
I even envy in a more or less close to giving me a "small" Martin in the "first prize" history have always below the elbow and in all circumstances a guitar of this trademark. For sure my DC Aura I'm not lugging around the .. I'm not crazy.
