Before this one, I had the opportunity to play on multiple systems: Yamaha ART Godin (not equipped with a sensor LR Baggs precisely) Takamine (several preamps), Expression of Taylor system, B-Band (AST + UST).
This system (sensor + amp) is neither the best nor worst.
It possesses a rather pleasant, attacks do not sound too "cardboard" but still a good reserve volume, very easy to use (just the volume in the rosette).
However, like many piezos, the dynamics of the game is altered and balance it on my model too severe frequency (no imbalance between the strings, I think it also comes from the fact that the J-45 sending lots of bass).
And it will prove suspicious when changing strings otherwise unbalancing the sensor.
This is a good system, one that discreet do not want big amp on his guitar, and effective that will do the job on stage (attention to feedback: cap almost mandatory).
For my part I find it far below that Takamine offers (Japan) or with the Yamaha ART offering sounds "less piezos" and better transcription dynamics of play
In terms of the color of his is worth it (and not discussed ... tastes and colors ...)
For studio recording, all manner, nothing beats a microphone (same way) to the guitar.
Finally, a system to consider if you want to equip one of your guitars ... the quality / price seems a bit high.
