Active Monitor from ADAM Audio belonging to the F series

Adam will be releasing two new near field monitors later this year.

Adam F7 and F5 Active Studio Monitor are expected to be released in October 2012. The ADAM F7 Active Studio Monitor has been designed to provide an affordable solution for those requiring accurate nearfield monitoring. The ADAM F5 Active Studio Monitor has been designed for smaller listening environments.

The F7 features a redesigned version of ADAM’s ART ribbon tweeter. The 7” woofer is made from carbon and paper and has a 25 mm voice coil, designed to integrate with the tweeter’s performance. Several controls on the rear panel let you adjust the ADAM F7 monitor to the listening environment, these include 2 room EQs for both the high (>5kHz) and the low (<300Hz) frequencies, as well as a dedicated volume knob.

As a supplement, the manufacturer will supply the matching subwoofer SUBF, extends down the playback range to 32Hz. Its 8-inch casing is driven by a magnet and a 38 mm voice-coil. Here, a pulse width modulated amplifier is used. The SUBF is designed primarily for smaller rooms up to about 20 m.
