I was looking for monitor speakers for my home studio, prcise, as straight as possible and affordable.
I use a powerful technology dB amplifier to provide all the necessary momentum directly wire the output of my RME. the amp is 3 / 4 and the output of the RME-12db.

SOUNDS

These speakers have a fairly linear rponse, but it is precisely the problem for me.
they have great highs, crystal, do not twist, but the serious defect that also was not snoring too, there is not enough fishing, and, in my opinion a subwoofer will be welcome.
the finding is that when I j'coute mixes couraging, my clients always have the same opinion, "is acute !!!", but I am obliged to seek the clarity of the treble without over-boost the bass, because once pass on another system is deaf.
so I sub-mix of the serious costs, which is not normal, and suddenly my mixes are correct.
not IDAL and frustrating since I like the bass.
against the image by Stereo is good otherwise look for the correct placement.

OVERALL OPINION

I own them for 3 years, and it made me a good service when I was financially more limited.
its highs are great but the day I bought it I compared with Tannoy Reveal one and I think I would take them because of made in the silent grave suprieur well.
this lack of serious has become especially problematic since I have a larger cabin. I will soon add an active system with subwoofer, in May I will keep. (These are my NS10 to me).
I will surely turn towards the NHT-pro but it's classy.
I wait also cost the M-Audio SBX BX8a +. CHARACTERISTICS allchantes the ads are.
tapping in a studio this size are not to be ngliger.
