The KRK VXT -6 are a pair of monitors that I purchase in 2011. They are a pair of 6 inch active studio monitors with a 1 inch high frequency tweeter. I have always been a fan of the KRK’s (all of the ones that they make). So I knew that I would love the sound of these when I purchased them. The price was pretty expensive though costing 9 40 dollars for the pair of them; but most KRK monitors are pretty expensive no matter which ones you get. I came to these monitors from the KRK Rokit 6’s and I didn’t think that I would be able to hear a huge difference but I was wrong. These VXT 6’s are way better than the Rokit 6’s. It is almost like night and day comparing the two.

SOUNDS

The frequency response on the VXT 6’s are 49hZ to 22 kHz. The low end frequencies are very present and depending on how you like your music it could be easy to overdue the low end because of how clean it sounds. I would always want to turn up the low end a little too much with these monitors so it took me some time to get use to them and I had to purchase a pair of Yamaha monitors as reference monitors to make sure I was not letting too much bass ride.

OVERALL OPINION

The highs are clean and sound great; so do the mids. I was very impressed with the overall warmth of these monitors and coming from the Rokit’s it took me sometime to retrain my ears to mix with these. The bass and low end frequency response was very clean, and that was what was throwing me off. I had never had a pair of monitors at my home studio that sounded that clean (when it comes to bass). I recommend getting these over the Rokit monitors anyday!

My choice was guided by the owner of the store where I bought my equipment.

SOUNDS

The sound is impeccable, the stereo is good, the sound is clear and precise
but for electronic music, the sound is better (more appropriate) on the speaker Adam, for use of the krk Overall, this is only my opinion, are the reference speakers.

OVERALL OPINION

I have the speakers for over a year.

The choice was guided first by the opinion of the owner of the store and the second by the availability of the product.

I hesitated pregnant with Adam, for my style of music (Trance), are more suitable, spectrum, frequency, etc. .., but the delivery was far too long.

To give a more accurate, I listened to Adam, it is true that the sound is different, in my opinion better (more appropriate), but still, I do not regret the krk.

Now, everyone has a different sensitivity, so it is better still give it a try in a store to get his own opinion.

Simply put, nothing bad to say, very good speakers.

The quality / price ratio, perfect.

A repeat, personal opinion, I will certainly Adam, although I repeat, krk are excellent, it's just a matter of musical direction.

The precision of the speakers reveal much in the mix.C is what I prefer. I use them to make trance. I use MOTU Ultralite with a long time, and now with a Fireface 400 and the sound is excellent.

SOUNDS

Are presented very high and bass lacks a bit to make electronics, but very very acceptable. The high level is not to tire the ear, they are just very active, and it reveals considerable detail.

The stereo image is very good, the sound is clear and precise throughout.

They lack details below 50Hz.

They are the best in this price range in my opinion.

OVERALL OPINION

I use them for 2 years.

I had a model home theater before ... The difference was very clear. For cons, I choose them in comparison with several other pairs such as JBL LSR2328 and Mackie, but errors out quickly mix with the speakers of their accuracy.

With experience and a little more money, I would go to the VXT 8 probably, but for the same price, I make the choice anytime!
