Wishing to buy a pair of quality speakers, I found a web site such equipment at discount prices and really I do not regret it.
I use it for mixing files recorded in monitoring but also to listen to music on my PC.

SOUNDS

I do not have an ear too refined to meet the frequency curves and other technical data but I find these versatile monitor speakers.
Maybe the purists will not have the same opinions as me '

OVERALL OPINION

I bought these active speakers there about 3 years and am not about to part with it, I said I checked the reviews that were pretty good and that's what made me decide to the acquire.
Good value for money ... I do it again this choice without hesitation!

The M-Audio AV 30’s are very inexpensive. They have 3 inch woofers, and ¾ inch dome tweeters. This are not the type of monitors that are going to give you a big loud sound and you will not be able to get a studio quality mix out of them but they could be used for a extra pair of reference monitors. They have a 3.5mm headphone outputs and stereo aux input so you can listen to your MP3 player or other audio source right directly into them.

SOUNDS

The frequency range of these monitors is 90 Hz to 20 kHz. These speakers do not take up much room and can be used for multiple purposes. I do not recommend these to be your main set of production or mixing monitors because they just do not have a clean enough low end to mix your songs in. But if you are looking for a pair of reference monitors that can be used for multiple things these are perfect.

OVERALL OPINION

They are very inexpensive and have the proper connections to work with other gear. They are small and can be moved easily. These are the perfect monitors to hook up to video game systems as well with the aux input connection. Most speakers/monitors do not have this input so that is a plus with the AV 30’s.
These particular monitors are not for me though, I do not feel they are loud enough or have enough low end for me to use at all. I used them for a few months as a pair of back road monitors but I didn’t ever use them and ended up selling them. They are not bad, but not made for music production or mixing. They are fun and great to listen to music in though and that is what I recommend them for. The distortion is pretty low in these though for them to be in this price range.

SOUNDS

- The equilibrated pchent even if a little low, if you push the volume, bass s'crasent quickly and lose their roundness. Cel-words, it is quite normal for speakers of this size (and thus price).
- Stereo Trs good image. This is one of the main strengths of these speakers. We clearly see the diffrence with multimedia speakers public.
- Clear and prcis, part to the low volume lev (see above).
- Good overall dynamic

Professional mixing refrain
Amateur audiophile, these speakers are for you!

- I have been using for about 1 month.
- What I prfre: Stereo image precision and sound.
- What I ENTSO: the potential limit of low volume suprieur. Anyway, in a pice Reduces size, no need to push the volume too much non-plus. In fact, it is meant Reduces volume dtails more music ...
- These are my speakers Premire type "monitoring", but I am a musician for quite some years ... My leaves are the Difference!
- Trs good quality-price ratio (77 Thomann.de at the time of my purchase!). It is - say less than a public Systm!
- With the same budget and the same goals of use, I would do without hsiter the same choice.

I wanted to take over the studio PRO3 (see opinion) to form a small string for my son's room but I found them more. AV30 seemed to be their equivalent in the new range and tweeters while the boomers are smaller ... :-(

Yes it is still plutt good (PRO3 cf studio) but it seems to me that the quest for power (significantly more than the PRO3) and a more flattering curve (signicativement especially to the more tense the frquences most serious) is the t dtriment of neutrality. it is less my cup of tea ...
always a great image but agus stro more sparkling and deep bass that make the costs more blurred.

Only a few days. I like less than PRO3 studio, a more flashy with sub bass and sparkling agus ...
That said, once again, I do not know if I have so many alternative, and for the price my son has a system that much better than the mini hifi chains!

I wanted something soft to change my j-280 Jamo completely out (too expensive to repair)

With BC 30, we see the difference between PA speakers or multimedia.

Good quality and strong. I was received in 48 hours by colissimo at Star's Music. Good size to go on a desk with a proper power. It's clean and cheap nikel.

SOUNDS

The stereo is royal to price point. However the bass is a little too depressed. The only catch disappointing.

Otherwise the quality is meeting and is feeling good to the ear.

Perfect for the home studio in an average room.

OVERALL OPINION

For some time, I enjoyed the sound quality, and size, as well as documentation and the supplied cables (very convenient). The only downside: the bass a little too pronounced for my taste. I tried quite a few pregnant. We see the difference with a value for money Hon.

With experience, I can tell you that I do it again this choice.

I use them for listening to music, playing guitar and listening to compound on Fruity Loops, with a sound card M-Audio ProFire 610.

You must buy a good quality cable jack to RCA male twin in this config '.

Compared to PC-style speakers Logitech is the day and night! And for almost the same price.

For the lack of bass described by other users, I do not agree, and if so there is a bass boost button on the back of the powered speaker.

It delineates very well the different instruments, stereo rendering is nickel, I have not found a big flaw, but of course I am not professional.

OVERALL OPINION

I bought three months ago in Home Studio (where I was told: "You know that price eh ..", inevitably, they sell speakers at 3000 euros!)

I am very satisfied with my purchase, and I was even surprised! They are compact and powerful, not for extended operation in the end, not enough power for example, but for its work pieces in a fairly small place, perfect.

Technically, I chose these speakers for their side "self powered" and their small size and very low price!
I use them as multimedia speaker enclosure as well as "monitoring" for my "home studio".

The frequency response is good for me with the price of these speakers, the dynamic seems also quite correct. The stereo image is really excellent!
I constantly compare my music listening on headphones HD280 Pro and then on the AV30. I know the faults of my headphone and those of AV30 and the two complement each other well!

OVERALL OPINION

I use the AV30 for almost 1 year and I have nothing to say except that I am completely satisfied with their performance!
I tried many different systems ranging between 100 and 250 euros, so its definitely the cheapest or most and what are the best!
negative point: the input line is in front and in addition to "Jack" 3.5 ... I would have preferred to back "Cinch."
Apart from this negative point I highly recommend these speakers for listening to music, watching movies, playing and making music as an amateur!

Bossant as sound engineer, when I decided to ride my little studio in my power to work a bit at home, they seemed to me good value for money! I did not exceed 200 € and for working to correct this price we all know that there's nothing wrong! Except this pair of M-Audio seemed, with critics generally pretty good and a price that suited me I thought it might do the trick of my personal station.
But for the chance to compare it be said: quality multimedia speakers? yes! The nearfield monitoring? No. (Distribution systems of new cars are even much higher quality!)

With regard to description and technical, see below, everything is there.

Wanting to monitor, the speakers handle especially at low and high frequencies, but in addition to the hurt they really forget to be midrange yet put forward during the reading of the draft on the speakers lounge!

The high frequencies are still relatively good, we can distinguish without too much difficulty the problems of these frequencies and thus can be treated accordingly.

For low cons ... The speakers are equipped with a switchable bass boost on the back that nobody has ever had to use so they send low! Except that enough is enough, that a balance is difficult to find and for good reason, that dynamic does not meet the true frequencies of a kick or bass but slightly above.
(I really see the true frequency curve!) So do not mix properly with this problem is low or the crash insured on another broadcast system!

The stereo is pretty good, if we put aside the fact that it is very difficult to detect a phase problem with them and it's my headphone that opened my ears to this subject.

OVERALL OPINION

So in summary of the high-end multimedia speakers? Yes, no problem! And if you buy them for that is the right choice, rather than seek Behringer or Samson! Thus you will discover a whole new way your library album with some fun!

For the recording of an artist who is accompanied to the folk guitar, synth, vocals percussion and some I would say they are also more than enough!

But if you enter the complete recording with drums, bass, 25 tracks to mix, drop and continue to save for taking real nearfield!
Quite simply plugging in a mini-jack and the switch "bass boost" on the back are proof that they are not destined for a real studio.

I descend from X rows? That's true but everyone has said much good so far so I would save € 160 pe a budding sound engineer who is left to buy it. Nevertheless they remain the best choice below 200 €! So a board that will save a lot of mix, save a little more and buy quality monitor speakers

The M-Audio Studiophile AV 30’s are a set of studio/computer speakers. They seem to be primarily made for use with a lap top since they’re semi-portable, but can be used with any computer. Of course you can use them for whatever you wish, but computer use seems to be the main aim for them. The speakers have RCA connections in the back of one of them, as a speaker wire connects the two of them together. The speakers each have 15 watts of power and have 3” sub woofers. They’re not the loudest at all, but are suitable enough for editing purposes. In my opinion, they’re best for editing on the go or as a C set of speakers to check mixes against other pairs of monitors…

The sound of the M-Audio Studiophile AV 30 isn’t anything too impressive, but they don’t sound terrible and definitely get the idea across enough for editing purposes. They’re fine for tuning vocals and the like, but count mixing out with these as they just don’t have the fullness in sound for it. Again, I’d use them to check mixes against, but wouldn’t trust them for mixing. Considering their size and price, they sound is overall not bad…


OVERALL OPINION

If you want a super cheap set of studio speakers for use on the go or as an extra set, the M-Audio Studiophile AV 30’s are worth looking at. Only because of their super low price do they get a serious look, as they’re definitely not proper studio monitors and I wouldn’t use them as your mains in any situation. The perfect use for these would be for on the go use with your lap top for editing on the run. The M-Audio Studiophile AV 30 ‘s don’t sound bad at all for the price, so check them out if you’re in need of an extra set…
