« Exellent value for money + + »
Published on 09/11/11 at 02:48I wanted to buy these monitors to replace my pair of Samson Rubicon R8A for (pre) mixing at home, Home Studio 25M2
R 8a me breaking my head, too aggressive and not descended enough despite the 8-inch woofer ....
a correction to alleviate the serious would have been welcome (depending on your room)
SOUNDS
I mix on monitors in the studio much more upscale then I have good references for comparison.
The frequency curve is sufficiently neutral?
Yes it is rather neutral in all I see still a general lack of brightness in the treble and upper midrange slightly behind
otherwise it's pretty good.
The dynamics are respected?
The dynamics are good
The stereo image is good?
Like really well (still not as good as my old monitor with the ribbon tweeter)
The sound is clear and precise on the spectrum?
As mentioned above a slight loss at the top but not be corrected in any way they are very balanced
OVERALL OPINION
How long have you use it?
Day
Have you tried many other models before buying it?
Yes a bunch of models more than cheap ones. (Yamaha, RKR, Dynaudio, Adam, K & H)
What is so special that you like most and least?
The well-balanced sound of these monitors, the least I'm not sure at this rate, it's on if you can put 2x more expensive you will probably (slightly) better
to say that my need to mix at home and then go into the studio to finish on most products HDG is perfect, I have not had time to mix with but I think not too wrong (j edit the notice in a while)
How would you rate the quality / price
really excellent
With experience, you do again this choice?
With this budget I think that there is no picture this time you have a very good pair of monitors that let you "work" in good condition, very well balanced that you do not plant your mixes (well little) let alone Once you know their little weaknesses.
