« ok set of monitors »

The Pro 5’s by Prodipe have been around for a few years now and I have had hands on experience with them on several occasions. The stereo quality is very good and the frequency range is as well. They are a very solid set of monitors. They don’t seem to get very loud though, but when mixing you’re your music you shouldn’t have the volume extremely loud. I actually got great results with this mixing my music, I like to mix my music as I make it so I can get an actual feel for how the final version will sound and they served their purpose just fine.

SOUNDS

The sound is great and the frequency range is almost perfect. I just wish they where overall louder. Even when you turn them all the way up which you should never do. They still don’t seem to be very loud and I have used them in a pretty small room. A room that is only 10x10 and the sound still doesn’t seem to get loud.

OVERALL OPINION

But I guess the Pro 5’s will take care of what you will use them for and that is mixing your music. The price of them is a good price online. I have seen them cheaper in some local stores a year or two ago. I wouldn’t recommend buying them used because from what I hear the life span of them isn’t that good as time goes on and also I have heard they don’t take well to being knocked around or banged or dropped. I havent dropped mine at all and don’t plan on it but if you purchase them used you will never know what the person who had them before you did so it could be a bad investment with the rumors of life span on the Prodipe Pro 5’s.
