The compromise power / bandwidth space, the brand Tascam. I hsit with big sisters VL A8 8 inches, and the Mackie MR5.
My shirt reading list was refined here, the opinions of everyone. I took a risk on the one hand by what could not costs, and purchased from the excellent site www.dv247.fr English.

I mixais only because my headphone stereo speaker (yes) taient, say too colorful and too fat to do something clean.

They are amplified so ... on the other hand even if the wind is ahead, it is recommended to place them 60 inches from the wall! and as they are rather deep and heavy ... ..

SOUNDS

The power curve is neutral enough to cover the low (often the weak point of the monitor infrieur 8 inches. And they often allow INTERESTED and Low Pass Filter (see above)
Clarity, purity of sound that comes out!! Huge.

Very good dynamic (run-in but hey) there is great potential

OVERALL OPINION

For 15 days (12/2008) (end March 09 and still super happy, I complt with LF-S8 subwoofer, but you can not pass. Or take the A8 VL (see my opinion on the box)

- I like the brand, color / design / online
- I like less depth leve, but they are all like that (good monitors)
- I was able to cost a lot in this range but never this one since all new!
- The ratio quality price 198.00 the pair on the site dv247.fr! I dare say nothing to deprive ...
- Yes I would do this choice. I would if I had the place in the model above 8 inches. but hey there is a box ) we'll start with. as they replace my amp / speaker for listening live (ds homestudio)

I was looking for pregnant not too big with a good value for money and power to work correctly with a pieno compact digital amplification was too light for my taste and at other keyboards in the courses. I use a small console ETEK 1223 very clever to connect everything and I added a subwoofer Fame for comfort.

SOUNDS

The sound is good with a little bump in the medium it seems, can be easily corrected by adjusting at the rear. Even without a subwoofer bass is fairly well rendered.

OVERALL OPINION

I am quite satisfied, for the price dificult can do better, I have a pair of Mackie HR824 last few years in my studio, of course we can not compare but small Tascam defend themselves, for 10 times cheaper it is not 10 times worse.
