« Vintage Rack Feel »
Published on 12/30/12 at 00:07The Classik Studio Reverb Plug-in has a classic rack feel and look to it. I have been in studios that still use the reverb racks so this kind made me feel right at home. It has 4 different reverb rack units including room, hall, inverse and plate. They run off of too different modes, there is an advanced mode and an easy more which I never really understood because even the advanced mode is not too much. It is just a little more in depth but it is still easy to understand and operate.
SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE
You can use these Reverb Plug-ins in Cubase, Pro Tools, Ableton Live and almost any music creation software that takes plug-ins. I prefer to use it in Cubase though because that is where 80 percent of my work comes from and that is where I feel the most comfortable at. It is easy to use in Cubase, and you can use it on either a Mac or a PC. It does not take up much of your CPU and it is a pretty small load on your hard drive too. You can run these plug-ins on multiple channels in your mixer and not have any issues with it freezing or slowing down your machine as long as your computer is not from the early 2000’s then you should be just fine running it many times. I do recommend having at least 512 MB though and at least Vista on a Windows computer and 10.2 OS X.
OVERALL OPINION
If you love having full control over your reverb this plug-in rack is perfect for you. I do not think it is better than a Guitar Rig by Native Instruments because you can do a lot more than just reverb but that will also cost more. So if you want to do more than just reverb then check out Native Instruments Guitar Rig. It has the same feel but you can do so much more.
