Value For Money : Excellent
Double pre-amp converter capable of multiple uses:
It converts the analog S / PDIF and vice versa. It quantifies in 16 or 24 bit, 44.1 kHz or 48kHz sampled (no 96 KHz).

It has a useful section that allows TRS monitor via a facade to knob in a mix between what goes in analog (the pre-amps) and what comes in S / PDIF (the playback of your prfr soft. We can therefore cost his pramps, during recording, zero latency and without using a mixer. The monitor section features a knob volume front, a headphone jack on the front and two outputs Stereo (one RCA jack on the other) in front rear.

I / O S / PDIF is the choice of RCA or optical. The rear face also provides an output Stereo D / A Out on RCA, which, as its name suggests, is a direct output of the converter numrique / analog. Can also be found in a rear face between Analog In (a front panel switch to choose between what is, unwanted by the analog monitor section, this knowledge is between Analog In facing rear re, or the output of pr-amp front).

Di-port is capable of gnrer Clock Sync (Master mode) or to calibrate its clock to the incoming digital signal that (Auto), provided of a signal sr num America is valid dtct in between, which is indicated by an indicator light in front rear.

The pre-amps are combos of dots XLR / Jack (XLR Mic Jack: Line), with 48V phantom power (on both or not at all), the green LEDs to indicate a signal is pr feels and red to signal peak (attention, when it is saturated crt requires dBFS).

OVERALL OPINION

I use this pr-amp/convertisseur since September 2003 and I fully satisfied following. J'aprcie the diversity of many uses it offers. This is the perfect complment a small sound card with a S / PDIF interface (it means well with the Audiophile 24/96 M-Audio, all offering trs good performance given the price).

Without being able to compete with Neeve, the pre-amps offer more performance qu'honnorables in home studio with a signal / noise ratio of 105dB.

Also note that it is prfrable convert signals externally as is the case here, and to route a digital signal via S / PDIF to a sound card, as plutt convert the signal into the environment pollution lctriquement a PCI card, because even if the difference is, I grant you, small, it does exist.

The only BMOL is the fact that the pre-amp A root is left in the monitor section, and B right. It parat logic, as a, but it's a bit Drout when recording a voice or a guitar (or any mono source) not to hear that a ct. Too bad.
Trs good value qualitprix
