Best value:
Excellent
The MX8000 ... it has everything a great. And more ...
I will not here his résumé CHARACTERISTICS - they are available on the Behringer site - but in outline:
- It possde 2 x 24 channels available sparment, but with some limitations, 6 and 8 Aux Send Subgroup.
- It is a team of connection 'Input Expander Bus Ports'. This allows to add a sub-mixer and so bnficier on this, officers of the MX8000.
- It benefitted from the technology of pramplis Mackie (implying thus the sound of these qulait pramps).
- A large rack of 2 1 / 2 U provides power to the console.
So this is a great bte, although its caratristiques are more or less traditional about this kind of console.
UTILIZATION
The MX8000 Submitted the same ergonomics as the work of his size consoles: long rows of well organiss channels on which the srigraphie is explicit. The buttons and knobs are small but accessible and prcis.
The connector is a bit Drout: we find the opposite as female jacks on the rear suprieure. In addition, the flexibility of the console connection induces a rich, sometimes Drout. Unlike channels, the indications are not always empty ... Have fun and live semi-pnombre!
The use of 24 channels 'B' is a bit heavy and inconvenient. With the help of a swtich or is assigned channel buttons 'A' (EQ, Aux Send, ...) their counterpart 'B', or it has 4 buttons (Lo and Hi EQ, Pan and gain) or less. Say, if they are intended to receive a multi-instance, they allow a lack of dpanner.
Manir gnrale of the MX8000 is relatively easy to use for anyone matrise some mixing consoles (I exclude here so DJ tables). Its connectivity and wide, however possibilitsncessitent grip rational and informed.
SOUNDS
Especially thanks the quality of its pramplis, the concerns of German dtail and rigor, the MX8000 is really close counterparts in the most prestigious name. It provides the rle of mixer properly, but no more. The sound that emerges is clear but not transparent.
Moreover, its technical specifications (EQ + / - 15 dB, 10 dB -4, ...) it confrent signal processing and efficient prcis.
But be careful: high gain, it Submitted a little breath.
OVERALL OPINION
As suspected, Behringer has once again offered a quality product price mini. And they have not done in the dtail, as they have dubbed the technology of the era Mackie - which also earned them a ban on sales to US
I purchased this console used in 2003. Although it was (and is still) treated with the utmost care, there is all the same a few weaknesses (cracks, false contacts) due to its age and choice of components (ben yes, everything pays Ralite), but nothing debilitating.
Besides, this is a really versatile console, full of possibility that even the (very) large not (see Bus Expander Ports imputed). It is rugged, reliable and good quality sound. The MX8000 is, moreover, a small open market price of OCCAZ (500-600 euros). Not to be missed!
I also want to give you some recommendations if you want to buy:
- It is available for almost 10 years. Connatre for his age (it's crazy and sellers quickly forget the age of their hardware !!!), Verify the serial number. During the 90's, the first digit is the year of construction. There is also sometimes the 'Date Code' (MM YY format), much more explicit.
- From 1998, Behringer has an update on the console, which then took an 'A' in its name (MX8000A). They apparently replaced the MODEL of pramplis (among others?).
- Verify all buttons and potentiomtres with the console. Yes, a time consuming and has con, but it ncessaire! The buttons sometimes show signs of weakness (crunch, malfunction, ...) The rotary must potentiomtres Submitted Resistors some 'oily' enjoyable. For cons, the faders are Resistors glide.
