« Perfect for summing keyboard and expanders »
Published on 07/13/14 at 07:04Simple characteristics: it is a summing 16 channels, and it is, but it's not bad! ULN design, no significant wind, and plenty of "headroom" (100% analog forces). He climbs into the red without unsightly saturation is more (even if it's to avoid). Small regret: send the mono, which does not allow to send a stereo source to an effects section. Each input pair can be switched to the-10dBV / +4 dBu, which is extremely convenient for adaptation levels.
UTILIZATION
One branch, the knobs you turn, and that's all. Can not be simpler
SOUNDS
Perfectly transparent. No breath. Again, a simple and effective design.
OVERALL OPINION
I can only second the opinion LeGrosChat, with which I fully agree: this small 1U rack is absolutely perfect for summing expanders and keypads. My only regret is that damn mono send. I also have a small problem with the headphone output saturates (I did not understand why and I wonder if it will not end up back SAV), but I'm using, if ever. Note that you can send the internal mod to spend post-mute/pre-fader to post-fader, independently for each channel. Practice! Last regret hands out unbalanced (when all inputs are on balanced TRS).
